Oh my gosh Yami....i love these flips.....but you know what I loved the most? Is seeing you talking to your family, changing the channel on the TV, all whole working. I can Soooooo relate. 😆 I have to one day show the "behind the scenes" look at my surroundings while filming. 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ Great job as always!! Hugs ❣️
I enjoyed both tables esp the use of the grass paper. Yami, this past year so many are limited to home. You have been a pleasure to go thru this with. Thank you for bringing us into your home. Pleasant and inspiring!
Just wanted to tell you thank you. I’ve been following you around a year. I finally after watching your kitchen Reno video several times to paint my kitchen cabinets this weekend. I took Thursday and Friday off and jumped in using your paint suggestions. Now I’m just waiting for paint to cure them to reinstall. Can’t wait
Hi Yami! I love how both tables turned out. Really nice. My favorite was the second one. I hope that company will help you out. There must be some way to fix the problem. 🥰
Ginger Chick Rehab applies shellac to her painted furniture that have bleed through. Then applies another coat of paint. She has lots of tips on her channel. I can’t wait to see your finished secretary. Love the tray with the black corner details.
Great flips Yami. If you spray shellac on the bleedthrough spots & then paint you should not get anymore bleedthrough. The shellac seals the tannins (like a form of oil) from seaping out. You may have to spray the entire pc. It is always good to just add this step before painting. Sometimes the bleedthrough can show up weeks after if you don't do this sealing process first. Primer doesn't seal. It needs to be spray shellac.
I love how the tray table stayed, good job!! Que Mujer, trying new paint on your secretary, fingers crossed it comes out beautiful...it will, I you've got this!!
You did an awesome job on both of these pieces little bit of work and look what you made they look great thank you for sharing have a great day God bless
Beautiful makeovers! One of the things you can do with bleed through (even though the company said that wouldn't be a problem) is to spray Shellac spray over any areas that you see the bleed through. You might have to do two coats. Then paint over with the same paint and that should take care of the problem. It is such a beautiful piece of furniture and will look stunning once it is done.
Shellac is the best to prevent bleed through. I painted an antique kitchen hutch. Tried all the products and shellac is the only thing that prevented the bleed through.
I have painted furniture before with white paint and had bleed through. I was told to use shellac over and it did work. Just a thought! Loved the tray table.
Oh no! Surely they will find a solution to fix your piece! I really love the table you made for your sons room it looked very nice. I truly love the piece with the tray top. You made it look totally cottage farmhouse. Amazing!! ❤💖❤
Beautiful work! I recently used a product I found about called Bullseye Shellac which blocks the bleed through's. I applied 2 very light coats and lightly sanded. It worked perfectly, Thank you for all of your incredible ideas and inspiration Yami!!
i just love your work.....wished you could come and help me paint my kitchen cabinets, you did so well on yours, i don't have the stamina to do them alone.
Love your videos dear . You really give me so many ideas . I have an old old secretary desk I’ve been thinking about redoing , just waiting for some better weather not snow and ice . Have a blessed day 💞
Hi Love, I have had the same thing happen with a very high end one step paint and sealer. I have found the only thing to do is to shellac the piece first to seal in the dark stain and then paint. I personally don’t believe there are any one step paints out there as I have tried quite a few. I hope this helps. Btw I love how the tables turned out. I just recently purchased a gorgeous vintage side table from my local thrift store that was half price for $2.50!!! I painted it in white chalk paint and painted the pulls on the drawers in black matte. I was going to flip it but decided to keep it for myself 😂😊
My favorite is the white table, but that is more my style. I do like how the other one turned out though. You are so talented. Now I need a spray tent., 🤣
I was told by my chalk paint stockist that if the stains bleach through you should paint the piece with paint for medals first. This will block the stains and they won't bleach through. Then you can go ahead and use your regular chalk paint. I haven't tried it yet, but it makes sense. Why don't you give it a go, because that secretary is such an awesome piece of furniture!
I was told to use a clear shellac first to seal then paint to prevent color bleeding through. But love your tables..I have the same secretary..would love to see how it turns out...have wanted to paint mine..
I thought they were both great but my favorite is the little tray table and I have a child flip top desk with legs that look exactly like this piece of yours. I’m now inspired to redo it. Thank you so much!
Love both tables! You did an amazing job!! Yeah I don't trust any of paint company that said no primer or anything like that, I learned that shellac or some clear paint to apply first and it prevents from bleed. Hope company will get back to you!
You do amazing work. The pieces might be simple, but you have an excellent eye for choosing pieces. Your transformations are always clean, elegant, and best of all versatile with other decor themes. --- Did I say I love your work? LOL... Thank you for sharing your inspiring talents. I look forward to more furniture flips.
Girl ever since I started following you I was like she looks like someone but couldn’t figure out who . You look so much like Amanda Bynes !! Well to me you do 😁
LOL, I knew you were going to use that contact paper at the bottom of the tray as soon as I saw that you weren’t painting it. That contact paper is sooooooo pretty!!! 😍 ALL of your projects turned out gorg, as always!
Great minds think alike Yami...or maybe it’s being stuck inside looking at all the projects I want to get done that made me flip an old bookcase today! Either way...they look spectacular, except for the secretary-such a beautiful piece and I hope you get it sorted out!
love the side tray table. Sorry to hear about the severe bleed through on your secretary. Dixie Belle Paints has a product called BOSS that is a clear primer that helps to stop bleed through. If all else fails, you may want to try that. I've been seeing it used no many RUclips furniture flipping videos and it seems to work great. You may have to use 2-3 coats but it works...
I have been waiting to see what you were going to do with the secretary. I have one exactly like it and have debated whether to paint it or not. I was hoping to see what your's looked like to help me make my decision. Oh well! Good luck and be sure to keep us updated. BTW loved both of of the makeovers.
For your secretary try to remove as much paint as possible start with a stripper such as citri strip, sand, prime with clear shellac, prime with a white stain blocking primer and finally paint, it is a laborious process, but the results will be excellent, I would ditch their gift paint and just buy some acrylic or oil based cabinet paint in an eggshell finish, this finish is comparable to the finish you get with clear wax, but more durable. For the smoothest finish use a sprayer if you have one to apply the cabinet paint. Good luck.
I love both of the small tables!!! You've given me inspiration to paint a couple of tables that I have. I love, love, love your channel! I'm so sorry about your bad painting experience. I'll look forward to seeing how the company is going to help you fix it.
Oh my gosh Yami....i love these flips.....but you know what I loved the most? Is seeing you talking to your family, changing the channel on the TV, all whole working. I can Soooooo relate. 😆 I have to one day show the "behind the scenes" look at my surroundings while filming. 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️

I watch you for the ideas you come up with as well as the relationship between you and your family, I love the family values you've shared and shown.
I enjoyed both tables esp the use of the grass paper. Yami, this past year so many are limited to home. You have been a pleasure to go thru this with. Thank you for bringing us into your home. Pleasant and inspiring!
Thank you so much! So happy to bring a little bit of light into your home!

I love the two-tone effect of the white/linen table. The liner took it to another level. Really lovely.
The tray table is my favorite.🤍Use shellac for bleed through. Whenever you are painting furniture pieces that are dark wood stain use shellac.
Hi Yami! I love how both tables turned out. Really nice. My favorite was the second one. I hope that company will help you out. There must be some way to fix the problem. 🥰
I LOVE the two-tone TV tray table!
I love the wood top you put on the first table. It really pops with the black💕

Loved both but I think I would choose the tray table if I had to pick one. I love the black metal corners.
Beautiful tables! You can spray the desk with a shellac and that should stop the beheld through
I love all your crafts,
I also love that your husband helps you,and he is so funny.
Que Dios los Bendiga siempre.
Latinas hasta el fin!!
Awesome love it 🥰

I Love 💕 the tray table, great find and free of charge, amazing 😉
Tray table turned out great!!! I also never saw one of those jigs that allows you to screw boards together! Off to the hardware store I go.
Love them both ... really like that contact paper
Use Kilz oil (not water based) based primer to seal the mahogany. Same happened to me and the oil base primer did the trick!
You really did a great job on both. its hard to choose both tables are awesome.
I like the tray table the best.
They both turned out great. I love them both.
I loved the tray side table. Great work as always!

Unfortunately I will still have to prime this piece no matter what I do, but just hoping the company will respond.
Both tables are awesome.

Hi Yami!! Both tables are gorgeous. I can't pick a favorite. They both look like something you would buy at Hobby Lobby or Home Goods. So gorgeous.
Thanks so much! 🥰

👏👏👏 Awesome! Everything looks great!
Both look awesome!
Paint your Secretary with a coat of clear shellac then paint with your preferred paint. The shellac will stop that bleed through.
I loved them both!
Your tray is gorgeous!
It's a real beauty.
I liked the tray best. Great projects.
Thank you! 😊
I love your channel!!!!♥️ thank you for your content, blessings 🌻
Nena I love both, you did a good job, special in the second one.

Liked your first one the best as have some similar tables.
