- This is the first video of a short series in which I build a homemade table saw. This time, I build a fence that can be easily removed from the table using a magnet.

The best simple solution to fix the fence I ever saw! Thanks for sharing! Greetings from Germany.
Great job! I really like the magnet solution, much better and simpler then other solutions I've seen.
Such a simple solution! You win the k.i.s.s award! Lots of fences are as good. But they tend to have many more pieces involved in their build. More pieces=more room for error. I need a new fence and I think your design just won out! Thanks! The old one I made was a pain to remove!
Brilliant!
Simple and brilliant!
Smart stuff. Thanks for sharing. I admire you for spending more on screws than any other material in this project. :)
That's amazing! I really apreciated your precise work.
I'm going to build smth like that with a huge Makita 5903R
great video! I like the idea using a light source to determine the alignment!
De Colombia un gran saludo. Muy buena su idea y aporte.
Nice one ... Soon I'll make one for my diy table saw ... Thank you for sharing this ...
Great work.. Thanks😊
I like the use of the magnet to hold the clamp in when its loose. elegant.
Check out these great woodworking plans here: RunFixPlan.xyz
FANTASTIC IDEA!!! AN ORIGINALLY SOLUTION FOR MY FENCE TOO ..THANKS FOR SHARING
You have an amazing ability. I'd love to see what you could do with a workshop full of professional tools
Nice video...magnet idea was pretty slick and worked great. Looking forward to seeing the other videos.
agree, bottom clamp "magnet idea was pretty slick and worked great" !
Nice work!
very nice work my friend
really great work
SUPERB...absolutely brilliant tutorial. Cheers from across the pond. Thank you
good idea. I like to watch how each person approaches the same build. (in this case, a table saw fence)
Good job!
Very great job ! 👍 👍
Very nice!
I love that you only grip the front skirt of the table. I've always hated how cheap fences can be locked crooked because they grip the entire depth of the table. This is a great solution as long and there's no flex on your fence or tee. I wish they'd put these on small job site saws. ☮️❤️🌈
Great idea
Молодец! Очень крутая идея
Very good knowledge Equipment itself
Браво !!! молодец ,очень полезный материал.
parabéns fico legal.
clever and smart solution, easy to build, great video and explaination! Thumb up and now you have a further subscriber!

Good job. First Homemade fence I have actually appreciated! :)
Great video mate :) I'm looking forward to the next part in the series!
love it, any chance you have a printable template for the parts? At least the clamping parts? I want to build this but not sure on the sizes of these parts..
This is very cool .. I do have a table saw but I do like to see homemade ones to. I had a homemade one that done me well for many years..Thank you for sharing...Shared and Subscribed.........

Great video! Where can I get the plans you used to build your table saw?
Hey! Great video, can you make a video of how your Makita Cordless drill press works?!?! I want to make one like that but can't see it all in your video. Thanks!

I like it a lot, it all comes together in the end. Kind a middle-tech approach
cool!
great job....Best fence video I've seen
That is such a good idea, making it wide enough that it doesn't move about. The fence that came with my bandsaw does just that so is virtually useless. But your idea of a wide fence stops most of the movement. I must see how you made the vertical drill press now! Thanks very much. Only one problem, the "On hold while we wait for an operator" music drives me mad!! Small problem really which is more to do with me I expect.
Muito bom10👍
Great idea for the clamp. I'm in the process of making my fence and considering this design. Could I ask how it has been? Does the clamp hold the fence really tight and solid all the way down? Or can it move or deflect? The clamp that came with my saw can slide if I press against it too hard and also deflects so I'm trying to improve it
Gute Idee
wie sind die Maße von der Fischfläche ?
Show a short video aboutthe homemade drill press please. Looks terrific!
Thanks! I didn't make a video about building it, but wrote a short article in my website: ideasketchbuild.com/building-a-temporary-drill-press/
I will make a video about it when I build a more permanent solution.
Can you show us how to make that DIY drill press?
Great
nice
Nice invention and Excellent idea, I like it, Although, I am not a professional woodworker but I am very fond of woodworking, can you tell me that was
the "TABLE SIZE",Thank you for providing me the best knowledge and information
That drill jig looks cool, will you post a video on that?
Thanks! I didn't make a video about building it, but wrote a short article in my website: ideasketchbuild.com/building-a-temporary-drill-press/
I will make a video about it when I build a more permanent solution.

nice job!
but you really risk a kickback without a knife behind the blade
Hey.. I saw your DIY dress press on this video, do you have a video or plans for that jig? it looks simple and efficient.
nevermind I saw you replied back already with the link of the drill press to other eager DIYers.
great video! It looks like you have a shop-made drill press that uses a handheld drill? Do you have plans or some more pictures of that? Thanks!
Thanks! I have a written a short article about the drill press in my website: ideasketchbuild.com/building-a-temporary-drill-press/
Thanks, great video! You have a new subscriber. And I was about to ask the same question about the drill press.

PinkPonyOfPrey thanks!
Great video. What about a set of plans for this and the other three videos in the series?
Douglas Gilmour thanks! Sorry, I didn’t make proper plans for the build...
I will build my fence like yours :-)
ta muinto fixe boa
awesome... but you forgot to use a couple of screws ... you don't want the guide to dismantle in the middle of a cut...😀
Hi. I've seen a number of table saw fence DYI videos but I always get confused by the fact that most-designs only restrain the fence on one of the ends. I feel that instead of T-shaped, the fences should be H shaped. I mean with a T at each end. With only one T, isn't there some play at the other end of the fence which could hurt the precision of the cut?
The concept is to make the t-end strong enough, which he does, giving it a strong rail and bearing surface, then rely on the "beam strength" or its resistance to deflection (esp. due to the box-section) - working all together to make the fence-object immovable. That sums up how t-square fences work in concept. If you try to clamp to a rear or second rail there is ususlly some deflection made making settings difficult; moreso than with the single, front rail clamping scheme.

HELLO Did the machine malfunction in this system?

Clever stuff, well done. Shame about the irritating dopeymusic.
Seems like a wasted opportunity. If you are going to mount a circular saw underneath. Why not make a drop in insert big enough to mount the saw.? Then make several inserts the same size,so you can just pull one out and drop in the saber or hand router etc. Mounted to another inset of the same size And blank inserts for if you don't want anything or for a future tool . Just lift an insert plate switch tools with another insert and plug it in under neath . Still I give you a thumbs up for effort and because I like you.
I made it with woodprix instructions !
too much screws & glue ))

Make cut without riving knife is to dangerous. Not good idea to teach newbies to do it.
Or you can buy a real fence... biesemeyer! ;)

Good job!
