    It was so frustrating watching him bunch up the offensive formations all game while Spagnola continued to disguise his blitzes. Shanahan basically gave Spagnola the best possible way to confuse Brock on every freaking play - allow them to bring as many people as possible to the line of scrimmage while disguising whether they were in man or zone. He never adjusted. Never spread the formation out to give Brock easier looks. Just continued doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result.

      @@Wizez I agree, I dont want to give excuses, but honestly I thought our offense looked fairly solid against Spags in the SB, we moved the ball well, ran well, even passed well, just made mistakes on momentum drives. but in this game it feels like he was trying to play it safe with all of his stars out.
      I will give him a pass, losing your WR's, no CMC, and adding a str8 forward RB, can change your play calling IMO. Notice there was very little pre snap movement, vanilla routes, and non aggressive calls. I dont think he trust the support cast for Purdy. I mean Bell, Conley, Two Rookies with Zero in game snaps, then having to overhaul it mid game. I wont call for his job, just be like MCVay and trust your guys to do their job. Lets give him a practice, to get the timing down. Purdy is a machine, but he relies heavily on timing he built with his guys, (high IQ stuff)

    • @greglyon1402
      @greglyon1402 18 дней назад

      Spags made his adjustments at half time of the Super Bowl. Until Shanahan changes, why change what worked for Spag? In addition to Brock calling some audibles, why not let him scramble. I mean really run. Shanahan has him dropping down at the first sign of a tackle. Mahomes could have slid on that 30+ run, but he took a chance.

    • @omnione12
      @omnione12 18 дней назад +1

      @@greglyon1402 Spag plans actually didnt work, you realize that our offense was actually solid, and we had no problems moving the ball. A fumble by CMC, A missed extra point, A bad bounce punt, Greenlaw out, a missed blocking assignment in OT, cost us the SB. Nothing Spags did was gamebreaking.
      Spags only loaded box and ran man to man with our depleted recieving corp. Nothing was adjusted, and our offense was very basic.
      Purdy already scramble, the problem with that logic is, Who designs plays to have your QB randomly scramble, NO, He is a QB, he needs to be able to trust his line, not scramble on every snap.
      I dont care about what Mahomes does, he did what he needed to do, but both him and Brock played like trash. The only difference is Mahomes still drops back and runs the same plays even though his support cast is trash. For SF we simply played it too safe.

    I really appreciate your analysis of games. I have to agree with your contention of Shanahan's game calling. He has a plan going into the game and sticks with it while other teams make adjustments. The Ravens and then the Chiefs figured out Kyle's scheme and trashed it. Other teams are learning from it. One difference is the Chiefs and Ravens have the players to run more man to man coverage that wreaks havoc with Shanahan. In the Chiefs game, the last interception, all Shanahan did was run out the receivers into the end zone where the Chiefs had six guys waiting spread out across the end zone. Sure Purdy should have eaten the ball, but no tried to get open. You have to look at what the defense is doing. They can't cover everything. In this game, the Niners need more screen passes out in the flat. Especially when the Chiefs packs the box.

    Thr 49ers run the ball well like the Miami Dolphins of the 1970 or Jim Brown Oakland Raiders of the 1970s n 1980 or the 49ers of the 1980s...All these Teams had GOOD OFFENSIVE LINES also they had a type of player the 49ers do NOT have at this time > A Raging Bull of A Fullback like # 44 Tom Rathman who actually handed punishment to the Defense. Yes, it's good to have playes like Christian McCaffrey and Jordan but > well, this happens to every team > YOUR Star running back will be shutdown at times so you need a true Fullback that can run like a Rhino.
    The Raiders had Pete Banaszak then Bo Jackson. Lombardi's Packers had Jim Taylor.
    The Miami Dolphins had # 39 Hall of Fame Fullback Larry Csonka a simple Run Away Freight Train who was NOT the fasted with Olympic Speed or Lateral moves or Gale Sayers or the explosiveness, speed and power of Bo Jackson. Tom Rathman and Larry Csonka were pure RAW POWER and HIT REALLY HARD and actually looked for someone to HIT. Larry Csonka, Tom Rathman, Brown, Bo Jackson not only HIT REALLY HARD kept driving his legs until he was down. Look at the old NFL FILMS YOU will see linebackers re-adjusting their helmets often😂😂...

    • @Martsims9
      @Martsims9 14 дней назад +1

      I've been saying this for the longest. They need a fullback that can get those yards on 3rd and a few. A back that can can plow thru a stacked box and/or open a hole if needed. Kyle Juszczyk is NOT that guy and honestly it irks me that he wears #44. Man give them a player like Rathman, Riggins or Alstott. But whatever everyone has an opinion...
