Dont worry...even if they shift they will settle back into position once you wear the retainer. One week is not going to make too much of a difference 👍
My doctor gave me retainers only for upper jaw...and now it's 3 months already after my braces got removed..and now I feel that my lower teeths are pushing my upper ones....what I should do now??
Mam one of my relative got his braces in 2017 , die to delayed appointments her treatment completed in three years.... Now it has been 3 months , her braces have been removed... She is totally not satisfied with her treatment... Her looks were better before the treatment.. Now if she doesn't wear her retainers any more will her teeth return to their original position?
Hi after removal of braces if you don't wear retainers then teeth might start moving towards their original position. But no one can predict how much each tooth might move,so you teeth might look misaligned or worse than before So it s never advisable to discontinue retainers. 👍
I'm disappointed... With all these videos now. I searched each n e everything before getting my braces. N now when these will be removed... M getting to see all this non sense in every video.. no reliance nothing. Y dont doc tell in starting...
Hi...I don't know why your doc dint tell you. But it's our protocol to explain to the patient everythin at the first consultation itself. Relapse is a major concern among patients getting orthodontic treatment and it's my duty to make every one aware of how to prevent that. And it's nothing to worry about. Retainers are not that cumbersome to wear and u can taper the wear time gradually. Hope it helps!👍

Taper down the retainer wear and watch if your teeth are stable or shift a bit. Usually within two years teeth get stabilised. But still donot stop retainers suddenly. First start wearing it only at night times for few months and then if teeth are stable then taper it down to alternate days and so on...👍

I had braces in 2016 for teeth gaps I removed in 2017 after that I didn't use retainers properly my teeth went back their position 😤 at that time I was pregnant so I didn't consultant my doctor after delivery he put again braces 2019 m now I am having n my age is 27. please can you tell me is it good to wear 2times braces n at the age of 27yrs old.can I expect now it will be good smile without gaps
