    It’s funny how people criticize bonelab even though most modern vr games come from the depths of the android ecosystem and don’t even push the power of their systems. Bonelab is one of the only vr games I can think of that includes full body interaction. Every other vr game primarily focuses on the world around you and not you yourself. Take for instance half-life: Alyx which has stunning visuals but lacks in terms of gameplay.

    23:40 the working flashlight is used on different objects to find hidden messages that can lead you to hidden endings and hidden content.
    25:22 per the slz developers, the dog is not the father. In fact duck season the and bone works are connected, in the lab the Avatar strong actually has the same name as the kid from Duck Season, and many duck season references on his tattoos.
    26:05 if you look behind a sign the boy is actually comforted by the dog.
    Boneworks
    32:24 you are actually not trying to fix or repair the system clock you are trying to destroy it. After all if you fix it it undoes everything you try to do up to this point. The person that thinks you're fixing it is Hayes, who is a coworker that trusts you.
    By placing the things into the red virally affected sockets you actually completely crash the system, undoing the work that the Nullmen had done before you. Hayes doesn't realize this, but the AI is trying to have the Nullmen undo the damage and open a gate. The purpose of the gate is unknown, but as you work to stop and crash the system, the AI sends crablets and dead users after you. (Throughout the game there are commands for employees to go to logout stations to evacuate MythOS. Many entries imply that victims didn't hear these commands, or are unable to...my favorite clipboard being "we are being overwhelmed, oh God they are coming in.". And my favorite unspoken mystery is the nullman who murdered 3 people, drew them, wrote sorry, and locked himself in a cell with "keep away" above so you'd see and stay back.
    37:32 this is true but, bonelab and project 4 are not the same thing. Project 4 is still in development. It however like Hall and Dead wound up getting split, and bone lab is the holdover spin-off until they can get project 4 to where they want. Bonelab has many mentions and comments about project 4. (Edit don't laugh was a miswrite by speech to text.)

    • @top10africa9
      @top10africa9 2 года назад +2

      Personally prefer boneworks. This might be because i have barley played bonelab as the damn tower climb level has made me so damn demotivated from playing it that i just haven't touched it since October 7th. But Boneworks was so much more refreshing to play it was something new. And the campaign didn't have stupid tower climb levels. Imma try to get back into bonelab but skip the rest of the campaign as well its basically just more character switching and i see no point in continuing. But yeah whilst Bonelab is arguably just better boneworks i do like some mechanics in boneworks (note i haven't played bonelab sin october when it was still fairly new and had some bugs) Such as your arms getting tangled leading you to get stuck hundreds of times. and that i just liked being in 1 body with not difference. I think the concept was cool if you could do it through the entire campaign and had more puzzle solving using it earlier on instead of a boring body which just felt like the Boneworks body but worse. Putting the Body switching at the end was kind of a dumb move if you ask me as it makes you have to do everything that should be able to be done easier with body switching and have to wait intill the end to do that. Which is why i liked boneworks oh and the enemies were less annoying in boneworks. Overall both games are very solid and there's no point in getting boneworks now since bonelab exsists unless your on a budget and cant afford the 20 dollar increase in price that they decided to have.

      When the game was initially released there were no jumpads and the big giant , glowing map in the starting area telling you exactly where to go was somehow missed by a lot of players so they added the map right outside as you walk out so you couldn't possibly miss it unless you're walking out backwards and jump pads to cut away some of the tedium of traversing a low gravity moon.

    Boneworks had such an interesting vibe to it, it felt very much like if gmod had a campaign. Bonelab felt more lived in and like you are characters in a game which kind of turned me off from the game. I was expecting the sense of feeling alone like I did in boneworks and it didn't scratch the same itch.
