This video is great, calm, and got me into the lore and into a lot of other shi from using unity asset explorer to see all this. Also, part 2? Pretty please? Or a iceberg?
One of my favorite glitches is if you kill the king in arena in slow motion, and then continue fighting all his voice lines will still happen but in slow motion, its hilarious
Same with the normal ford's If you kill them in slow-motion, and then exit slow-motion they will still make the death sound but in slow-motion (Bro I said slow-motion 3 times💀)
SPOILER (kinda)....Wow, I just noticed that the unused village in fantasy land is absolutely the same as many we see at the end of Bonelab. Look at the bar in particular
Find it funny that most glitches and game quirks of Boneworks can be regarded as canon because it's an in-development VR game in the universe it is set in.
@lordinquisitorshadowlord410 I know that. The radio host mentions previously being a speedrunner and even experiencing the glitch you can trigger using a valve.
Some useless facts about the useless facts: 1. The valve lets you fly because the "body dominance" variable (how much it applies your arms forces into your body) is set to zero, meaning it can keep pushing on your body. Im pretty sure this is because the valve is usually static and it prevents you from accidentally lifting yourself when turning it 17. It is the table, in unity they accidentally gave it a rigidbody, but also set it to static, so the mesh doesn't move with it 37. That same eye texture is also an unused light cookie set in sewer's LightCookieController script (a texture that appears on a light which is what the flashlight uses to fake its effect) 41. The slow-motion target is also disabled in a few more scenes, from what I remember includes the Hover Junkers sandbox and Throne Room 42. This is caused by the fact it was taken from Duck Season and has a invalid layer set, which the HMD camera doesn't render (the spectator camera does render it though since its layer mask is set to Everything which includes invalid layers) 43. Funnily enough, since the monitor just uses a render texture similar to the video calls occasionally if you press the button to update it Alora's face appears for a frame 51. Another thing is that the day 1 version of the Arena gamemode had a disabled, collisionless, gripless Gravity Gun (the half life one) model on the table. Based on the parent gameobject name this was probably a placeholder for some kind of unused trial or challenge. In all versions theres also an unused/unfinished "Crabsketball" gamemode that had you throwing crablets into bins 54. Theres also an entire disabled skate park either in museum basement or blankbox, but I can't remember which (maybe it was in both?) 63. In the hover junkers level, theres actually a huge chunk of part of the Campaign from Hover Junkers disabled, including robots standing on top of the gate you break down, the huge orange grid that was in hover junkers (ive never played it so i forget what it did), and another hover junker ship thats different than the Wasp
9:06 this would actually be an amazing gimmick in a vr game: have some puzzles where some objects can only be seen through one or the other and you have to memorize some things to solve it
@@brightblackhole2442 well if I can,in 7 years I will hopefully make a VR war game that starts you off in a trench battle and the objective is to get a modified helmet from a dead ally corpse that sees unique things the naked eye can’t.
Fun fact about #29, when I started running Glitchless for the first time, maybe in like late December of 2019, I aggroed the nullbody and this was interpreted as a glitch and had to be reviewed a second time by memory. Still very happy to see how the speedrunning scene for this game has evolved over the years when it had such humble beginnings lmao
Bonelab is going to change EVERYTHING in speedrunning I can imagine the struggle of switching avatar to get the fastest outcome of certain segments of the game
An interesting fact i learned is that certain rifles have extremely odd hitboxes on the barrel, allowing you to melee enemies and kill quickly without a single bullet fired
bonelab also has weird shit like this: On the train part I had decided to see what would happen if I walked around the trainpath, I found a sign that said "SORRY!" with a small red barrier next to it.
This is a good place to mention that you can make any equippable item zero gravity by magnetizing it to a climbing puck and, while still being magnetized, holstering the item. I personally recommend making knives zero g
The fact that you can claim the utility gun in hover junkers is amazing, I had absolutely no idea and it is such a relief knowing I don't have to go on a huge hunt to mess with sandbox tools in the story levels
6:40 You can also grab the nullbody from the other side of the door and use your own hands to find the button, it could be faster but it would need more practice to figure out where the button is
Collisionless handle outside the arena has a small story behind it. Originally the text wasn't there. Somebody on Reddit discovered it and made a post titled "Collisionless handle outside the arena". Apparently the devs saw that. It didn't do it in this video but when I discovered that text originally it flew off when you touched it.
In the room with the hover junker ship in Tower, the sign that says “Hover Junkers” on the wall has a box in its geometry that is signed by someone iirc. You’ve gotta climb on top of it and look behind it, but I saw it on my first play through years ago. It said something like “jason’s box” or whatever, I’m assuming that’s the artist who modeled that box.
@@bongwatercrocodile315 it only works if the MP5 is FULLY emptied. Then the bolt will go back, as you’d expect. Then you can slap it. You can slap it because any collision on the bolt will snap it back. Hitting it on a table, slapping your own face with it, slapping a ford’s face with it. Throwing it across the room for dramatic effect just to gravity grab it again. It’s fun.
The unused bar looking building in arena is used in the bonelabs game, which is pretty cool assuming Jimmy Wong in the game says that all of it is what the boneworks team flushed
Once I spawned in ford and was simply messing around in the physics area in the museum level and accidentally flew into ford so unbelievably hard his head got stuck in the wall. It was the funniest loony tunes ahh moment I’ve ever seen.
The monitors in tower did used to move but they got rid of it. Probably optimization. Another thing with monitors, the monitor in museum thats inside that cylinder used to sit on top of it. Never noticed it changed.
2:25 Holy shit I did this on accident in the arena and I was so pissed I didn't have any other guns and had to use a spear lmao Cool to find out what happened 6:27 Oh man I was so pissed when I spent like an hour trying to get into that vent from the other side just to find out it just went through the room
I actually cheated so hard on the big climb level since I found out that even though the gravity gun doesn’t let you lift something in your hand you can use a crowbar to hold onto something held by the gun, effectively making a flying tool.
This video sucks why did I make this
How did you get the look of the first opening shots?
no i love this video

One of my favorite glitches is if you kill the king in arena in slow motion, and then continue fighting all his voice lines will still happen but in slow motion, its hilarious
I somehow did that on my first playthrough and I got so confused.
I found that too a couple of months ago, by climbing up there and trying to take his crown
Same with the normal ford's
If you kill them in slow-motion, and then exit slow-motion they will still make the death sound but in slow-motion
(Bro I said slow-motion 3 times💀)
Still happens with ford in bonelab
Wwwwwwwwhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaatttttttt uuuuuuppppppppp sssssssoooooonnnnn
“For me it started with a valve, rusty old piece of junk I found behind my studio.”
SPOILER (kinda)....Wow, I just noticed that the unused village in fantasy land is absolutely the same as many we see at the end of Bonelab. Look at the bar in particular
the un used wooden town with a ford npc at 11:00 was used as the final level in bonelab "home"
I believe so
yes it looks like the same building
7:37 that transition had no right going so hard, I was literally borderline panicking from confusion after you walked through it

I think it’s great idea. But someone would have to be in VR while someone is being an informant on a PC.
"collisionless handle outside the arena" has pointless button energy
Hearing that the baton has a 10% chance of appearing makes me pissed since I get that item 80% of the time
Finally something boneworks related not just from you but from all the speedrunners
7:36 is one of the cleanest transitions ive ever seen

Yes! its great to see some more good Boneworks content!
I just realised the first glitch with the valve was directly referenced by jimmy in BONELAB
Fun fact, the building outside of arena was reused for the last part of the last bonelab level

In arena, there is a wooden house with poor collision behind the end portal.
Great video, boneworks 1.0v was wild
You're a fire editor, all the transitions in this were incredible
Finally, now I understand how some glitches work
I just realized that the valve glitch in boneworks was mentioned in bonelab when the radio guy talks about how he put a valve on his head and flew
That "thanks for playing our game" I saw at the end level while looking for Easter eggs, or a reclamation bin bc I had some physics stuff

If you want to break a lock you can throw empty mags at it this can be used when you dont have any items currently available
i quite literally get nauseous just watching gameplay of boneworks now. the wobble is crazy
A fun fact that I just recenty found out, is that you can actually slap mp5s' loading thingys while reloading. Such a cool detail.
I tried to HK slap it but it didnt work. Do you need some specific technique for it?
