Kakatiyas ruled over 350 years and was golden age for Telugu people. They built many temples and two temples are standing today, Ramappa and 1000 pillar temple. Even Kanchi was under the control of kakatiyas. Details can be had from Prof Panduranga Rao, who designed the foundation of current Ayodhya temple based on Ramappa temple enhancing life period from 150 years to 1500 years.
Dushyant is a store house of vedic knowledge. All this knowledge and many others should be passed on and made available to future generations. Now, with hi tech it's possible.

It was sheer magic listening to Dushyanth Ji's narration, I mentally got transported back to 13th century and could imagine the horrors of Sultanate. I had the great fortune of living in Kanchipuram for a short period and could visit Sri Varadharaja Swami temple. It was just goosebumps moment for me to realise the great saint Sri Vedhanta Desikan's potential was discovered for the first time inside that very temple complex. Solution to the knight’s tour problem was known in the Indian subcontinent at least as early as 9th century AD, centuries before Vedanta Desika’s time. The poet Rudrata’s work called Kaavyalankara contains a 32 syllable verse that gives a solution to the problem.
Dushyant was fabulous. Iam an Iyer but have for great respect for Iyengars especially the Azhwars and Desikar and of course Dushyant. Only wish Dushyant also sheds light on Shaivas as he mostly ifnores them like certain Naamadharis.
Nice exposition on the great Vedanta Desika, who is one of the great polymaths of India. But the nature of human evolution is that past greats are surpassed by future greats. Both Vedanta Desika and his contemporary Sri Vidyaranya are far far surpassed by Sri Aurobindo in each and every aspect of their achievements - spirituality, philosophy, linguistics, philology, veda knowledge, poetry, spiritual realisation, war strategies, political acumen, overall impact on society, etc. While we should honor and celebrate past greats, we need to be objective in comparing them to present greats. It's our loss if we ignore (or remain ignorant of) recent greats and stick only to ancients due to narrow reasons of parampara, sampradaya, etc.
