It took me a few listens, but now i'm really in love with this album.
The songwriting & hooks are so much stronger than the first record, imo.
It feels 80's, but also late 70's radio rock.
After one listen I was very unimpressed, and I loved their first album. Not sure how the hooks are stronger on this new album. Gonna give it another listen. I want to like it.

saw ex hex maybe twice remembered once being near new years i think it sold out the day of at black cat in addition to getting a rock and roll hotel 10 year anniversary shirt that had a banner with ex hex as well as other bands on it noticed laura harris' drumming being something and also noticed that the 'girl group' guitarists were very cool and may have been something that i found stimulating e.g. different somewhat ignorant of whether it was traditional or what remembered a bartender at black cat al being mentioned on the back of rips the vinyl record i got also remembered seeing batfangs and being entertained by the guitarists playing also have a ticket to see ex hex this summer
