An epic tail cam time-lapse of flight CX472 from Hong Kong to Taipei!
The tail camera, along with the nose gear camera, are optional on the A350-900 and standard on the A350-1000. They serve as visual aids for pilots, especially when taxiing. Some airlines choose to stream the live camera feeds to the IFE system, to the delight of many passengers and especially aviation enthusiasts.
