  • In this video, we will be seeing some of the secrets of growing aquarium plants. We will see how to grow freshwater Aquarium plants healthy and beautiful.
    A few of my youtube friends had requested for a video where I can talk about all the secrets of growing Aquarium Plants. This video is in English for the request.
    What is the actual secret of growing beautiful aquarium plants?
    1. Buy the best quality plants from the market.
    2. use the best quality soil for your aquarium plants. Learn about the space a plant's needs and also the dept of soil it needs to roots penetration. Longer the roots longer the plants.
    3. Plants look different outside water (Emmersed) and different underwater (Submersed).
    Ludwiga super red is green above water and turns red underwater. Learn about the aquarium plants that you want to grow in your tank. Do a little bit of homework.
    4. The dense plantation is very important for the healthy and beautiful growth of aquarium plants. Ideally, you should be planting 2-4 bunch of plants in a 1cmX1cm space in you aquarium.
    5.If you want your aquarium plants to grow strong roots and beautiful growth just float your aquarium plants in your existing tank. Plants quarantine
    6. if you are buying tissue culture plants you don't have to do the plants quarantine as there will not be pests and snails. but if you are buying from the market please do the plants quarantine.
    7. Use the fertilizers that the plants need. Different plants require different fertilizers.
    Red plants, green plants, stem plants, rosette plants, cryptocoryne plants all have different requirement5. Understand this and use it accordingly.
    8. When you buy plants like Anubias, ferns, and cryptocoryne cut the leaves of the plants for better growth.
    9. Regular trimming and replanting are very important for the healthy and beautiful growth of aquarium plants.
    10. Good lighting and co2 are very important for aquarium plant growth.
    Now follow these steps and you will see the beautiful growth of aquarium plants.
    Best planted aquarium design is when it is based on what the plants need.
    Happy Aquascaping!

    • @MayurDevAquascaper
      @MayurDevAquascaper  4 года назад +1

      Rupam Iron Bottom and Multi bottom are what we call Root Tablets, like the name suggests they provide extra nutrients to the roots.
      Use 1 tablet for a 1feet X 1feet area of the aquarium.
      Multi Bottom - this is a combination of nutrients and Trace elements,
      it helps to increase the live of the Amazonia soil and if you are using any other soil then it will supply additional nutrients to the plant.
      Can be used with river sand also
      Iron Bottom - this is a combination of nutrients and Trace elements and extra iron
      This has all the properties of Multi bottom and is very good for plants that take more nutrients from the root and emersed plants like Echinodorus, Crypts, Lagenendra, anubias ans ferns
      Can be used with all brands of soil and river sand

    Hello Sir, I just set up a new 60p planted tank in iwagumi style about a week ago with Ada super4, powersand, Amazonia 2, pressurized CO2 and have planted rotala hra, ludwigia arcuata and Monte Carlo (from tissue culture pots by still water aquatics). The rotala and ludwigia have already begun showing signs of photosynthesis, but the Monte Carlo seems to be melting. I have been dosing Ada brightly K and mineral according to instructions and a little iron as well every alternate day. Is this just a routine that the plant is going through because of being transferred from an emersed to a submerged state or am I missing something with regards to the Monte Carlo? Thank you so much.

    • @MayurDevAquascaper
      @MayurDevAquascaper  4 года назад

      Dear Reuben,
      Firstly Iron is not required for the first two months,
      Monte Carlo melting is nothing to be worried about, If your light Co2 and water parameters are fine then it is going through what we call a transplantation process where old leaves are dying and giving place for new leaves, so patience and Constance is the thing you follow here.
      Be patient and be consistent with your lighting hours, co2 and fertz dosing

      Liquid CO2 works like a steroid, it works for some time then the plants will stop growing, and the dosage that is mention is mostly unclear as the co2 dosage in a tank depends on the plants and light. also it can effect the fish.
