Miami Vice actually has wayyy more influence on Vice City. So many missions are based on episodes, some of the civilians in the game are in episodes as extras etc
I'm a little disappointed it wasn't a remake like Mafia. Vice City is such a good game, voice acting, story and plot was incredible for its time, it could have easily been remade. Needless to say I can't wait to savor all 3 games, especially this gem! Went down today to my Gamestop to pre-order the PS4 physical edition of this epic remastered Trilogy!
For me personally this was my favourite. I loved the parts where you owned various properties and had to do missions for those properties for them to generate regular income.
Love this game so much because it was my first GTA experience. blew my 10 year old mind. lol
I've only played vice city stories on PSP and San Andreas. I can wait to give 3 and Vice city a shot in the Definitive Edition
Vice city stories has a better map layout but you’ll love the world progression in the timeline (except the missing shortcut to the airport 🙄)
The crazy reaction the world gives to a 5 star wanted rating was what made me absolutely fall in love with this game as a kid. So ready to face the military over a series of escalated events that started from me accidently bumping a cop car
I believe it was 6 stars back in the day, the 5 star thing happened in gta 4 or 5
I was born in 2001, and I fell in love with 80s and synthwave songs when I played Vice City!
@@parrot4128 😅I am from non English speaking country
Can’t wait to do more open world stuff in San Andreas than Cyberpunk ever could. Just finished it and will now go back to back with San Andreas in a few days to see what a real open world game is capable of! Working out, eating, dating, gang turf wars, this game was way ahead of its time
Been playing modding it,and thinking the same..just a complete kickass game...way more than 100 hrs invested too! This game is legend to me,even over 5! Soon no mods but ill still play both💯🥂🤘
*"Here, on Pressing Issues, the #1 rated show on public radio in the Vice City area and hosted by me, Maurice Chavez"*
*NEVER GETS OLD. THAT SHOW MADE ME NOT WANNA GET OUT OF CARS*

Ikr! I played a ton without caring about these in the game, due to being young and english isnt my native language. Then when i actually bought a few years ago with my english knowledge, it was such joy to listen to everything (story, radio and stuff) and seek out everything that the game had to offer. Anybody who thinks these are going to be good is in for a surprise. Its a remaster, not a remake. Old game mechanics, Horrible dialogue, clanky controls etc
@@rayromano6249 I mean, they're redoing the controls if nothing else.
@@rayromano6249 Stop crying. These games aged well as they were. The fact that they're modernizing the controls is already more than enough. You should play them sometime.
I used to do that all the time
Love the talk shows they are perfect satire of the times
I hope they eventually add the "stories" as dlc to 3 and vice city, I especially liked vice city's. Seems like it would be a easy addition
be sweet if they combined them to add more inteiors in total to both games.
One of the main things I remember doing as a kid was getting the rhino tank and turning the cannon backwards and firing over and over to make myself go insanely fast and hitting the ramps and flying further than any car could lol or just hitting a large group of cars and knocking the shit out of them
One of my favourite games! The vibe is everything.
Yep GTA 3 always my favorite game than any other grand theft auto game I remember it first came out it literally blew my mind
@@chucky8308 That was my second GTA I've played, Vice City was the first, so I was amazed by it, how much Mafia turned it is.
@@chucky8308 But GTA Vice City will still be closer to my heart, just because of the vibe, the cars, the all in all missions, and music, and it was the game that influenced a great taste in music that I have, and no wonder I love 80's Rap so much, and all in all Great Hip-Hop in general.
The only problem I didn't like about GTA vice city there wasn't no money code like GTA 3 and San Andreas you had play mission to gain money
@@chucky8308 Wasn't that the point of the game, to gain money and expand your business monopolis and create an empire to be the only boss of the Vice City ?
I will be playing these on switch. These games are so nostalgic, they’re part of my childhood. Stoked for these.
I hope the 60 fps in handheld or ill buy then on ipad pro or torrent them on pc😳
Omg this game was so amazing. In my opinion the best of the series and the one I had the most fun playing
Yeah I agree just not the helicopter mission.. on a keyboard my god that was a nightmare
@@rinyuni that one where you had to drop those little bombs in the oil drums on that building site?
That mission ruins a perfect game. I feel like switching it off at that point.
@@JamEZmusic86 yeeeezzz
@@JamEZmusic86 I broke soooo many controllers on that fucking construction mission when I was a young squire 😂😂😂
I remember driving the tank around and thinking it was too slow, so I would just constantly fire backwards so that the tank would go just slightly faster lol. The things we did as kids playing games.
I hope there are more NPCs that make the cities feel more lived in. That was one of the most disappointing technical limitations for games at that time.
More victims you mean lol
I really think rockstar has put more money on GTA five compared to going back on vice city and reviving the game where you can swim and create your character customization and hopefully online but rockstar wasted Hella money on five and six I think they should give vice city a revisit and great improvement to swimming
I'd love to see some gameplay on the remasters before release.
But guess we'll have to wait until November 11th.
Not too far away
Stop Saying it like it is four months away

This was one of the first games I ever played on ps2 if not the first it was definitely the first game I owned for ps2
Not the first I played, but the one that impressed me the most. I wanted a PS2 after a friend showed me this.
The first PS2 I played was GTA III but this one was definitely the one I played the most out of the two.
I remember all my friends wanted to play this game but the parents would not buy it
Falcon you've totally convinced me start Vice City on the Definitive Edition
I know this map like the back of my hand even if its been a while since I played this game. I can't wait to see how the mall and the Malibu club will look in the definitive edition.
I wanna see the airport
Do you know it more than your d 🙄🤣
I really hope they didn’t change the music in the mall. That mall song was was such a vibe.
He just showed us lol. It looks like shit still. Can't believe gta fans are eating this bullshit remaster
I am actually really excited to get the 3 OG games in a new coat of paint... my memories from the old games and how much time I spent in them really makes me want for more...
Depending on how much time I have and how quickly the price will drop (yes I'm a cheapskate) I will definitely grab the rerelease edition
I'm hyped to relive my childhood!
I would love to see how the old mechanics play out in the new textures
They updated the controls guy.... you new here?
Yeah they should not rely on the old mechanics, that'd be dumb and limiting for the game. Glad they updated the controls too and not just the graphic
Why? Smfh
@@Desecrator6 I was referring to the physics mechanics.
I really hope they make Claude and Tommy able to swim 😭
As far as I know they are not making any changes to the core of the games engine, so I wouldn't count on that.
@@gergonikk that would suck! There’s nothing that gives me more anxiety than getting onto land from a boat in those games 😂
@@gergonikk, It is on a whole different engine so they could make swimming a thing.
People seem to forget but you can now crouch and walk while aiming
Has anyone else experienced the glitch where the Malibu Club isn’t earning money after all missions are completed? It only earns about $40 a day for me and I have no previous save files to go back to.

R.I.P Ray Liotta
Yup I'm one of those people who was just too young when these came out. First GTA was IV excited too play everything that began it.
This game was my childhood, cant wait to play it!
The Scarface of GTA. I love that game more than any other GTA. 80s were the best decades of Human History. Cars, Style, Girls, Music, Movies, Yayo etc... GTA Vice City deserves Remake more than any other GTA Game!
Still holding out hope GTA 6 is set in Florida.
Although, with a remake they probably wouldn't bring back the iconic voice actors, would be lucky to get Ray Liotta who was exceptional.
Either way, I'm excited to play Vice City and San Andreas in a more refined version. I have Vice City on PC and Playstation 4 but the old controls and clunkiness is hard to get passed nowadays. I don't know how I finished both games back in the day! lol XD.
I loved that mafia remake, damn that game was pretty
Vice city was so nostalgic to play through now as an adult, it brought back so many memories of being 8 years old allaying these games, the other 2 just don’t have that same feel
Can’t wait to get my hands on this trilogy! Big throwback from playing this on my PSP years ago
That's vice city stories not vice city
That cheat sheet is coming out of its nostalgia box to assist me in doing the more complicated cheats I still have the weapon cheats in my head.

As soon as I hear, "it's Falcon", I'm nearly sure I'll enjoy the video. Keep up the good work!
I loved to play GTA vice City, which is my second GTA, when after playing San Andreas (the first GTA), I thought of playing demolition man again and again, and complete it everytime, as it was as easy as piece of cake. Also it's was much different from San Andreas, in VC we take over the whole city, but in SA we take over only Los Santos.
I was looking for reasons to replay vice city and San Andreas and now I have them.
GTA III never really captured my attention in the same way,but I might give it another chance.
GTA3 and Vice City are my fav
I lost so many hours to these games as a kid, now I get to lose my wife and kids to them.
Hope they've extended the maps a bit to explore something new, opened more building, more purchasable properties, new businesses etc, otherwise I don't really see why I should buy these games again as I've already bought them multiple times.
I remember the game files in GTA Vice City had a custom folder where you could add music files that you had back in the day and it would all be played in a dedicated radio station in game. Not sure if this was a thing in the other GTA games but i sure remember Vice City had this. Good times good times.
Some more things you need to know:
- This is the censored version of the game. Any mention of Haitians or the French were removed and result in these awkward audio moments.
- Tommy still can't swim
- A good chunk of songs were removed
- You can't autoaim anything above a submachine gun. Gotta set Tommy on fire if you wanna autoaim an M4
- The helicopter animation looks like a toy
- Tommy STILL CAN'T FUCKING SWIM!!!!
can't wait to play GTA Trilogy: The Definitive Edition Mod for original games
The controls suck
80s is the best music.
4:43 it's the second smallest of the 5 gta games
I've never finished a GTA game... Most I played was one on PSP, I think liberty city stories
