OMG this is my favourite Australian band ever & absolute joy to witness to their telepathic interplay & see Lloyd use a bow on the bass its just magic ;-D
Stunning - on a completely different level of understanding how music works/effects the soul. And, on a more prosaic level, just an amazing lesson in restraint and minimalism.
Truly inspirational...by 16 minutes I felt plugged into something very grand, very mesmerizing. Love these guys. Now at 20 minutes in, I'm gone. That lush sound of nature maybe, that rumble at 21 minutes 40. Simply perfect.
I love The Necks. I've seen them a few times live. At the Corner Hotel, Richmond, Victoria, The Basement in Sydney, Riverside Theatre in Parramatta and also Sydney Opera House. My wife joined me for their Opera House performance last year....she'd never paid much attention to their music whenever I played their CD's over the years.....but when we walked out after the show ended, she simply remarked "Wow".
Saw them at the Corner 3 nights in a hot Melb summer .. 1st night ...front row..watching... 2nd night .. 20 feet back eyes closed ... 3td night ..the only way to watch them .....laying down on the floor up the back ... was even better than mushies
What's that feeling? It's the feeling of the answers to questions. What answers? What questions? It doesn't matter, it's the feeling of the answers to questions.
Been listening to this for years now. Thank you for hosting and sharing this performance. I love your venue and feel blessed to have visited. Cheers from Las Vegas, NV.
seen em aprox 10 times love them but have to say i long for more of bucks kick drum, sometimes too restrained, i saw them at the barbican london a few years back it was loud and they took the roof off fushitsusha style
Прекрасно. (Perfectly). Ну а почему бы не говорить по русски? (Well, why not speak in Russian?).... Или вечная евро-американская боязнь.... Sincerely Yours.
Hard not to close your eyes to this. The Necks are the greatest. The antithesis to so much. They enrich the world with their music
Their music save me from an anxiety attack when my mother was in the hospital waiting for a surgery, its really a transcendental experiente.

I saw them open up for AC/DC. I love Australian music.
Wish they've traveled abroad. As far as I know they've never left Queensland.
