  • A WW1 FPS game set in Italian front from 1915 to 1917 with weapons include pistols, rifles, melee, machine guns, and other experimental weapons. God I hate this game
Sheesh. 5 months waiting for this update that Blackmill Games gave us one gun, a grenade, and a cool map. But wait a minute. You said I hate this game. I still do, but this update is good. Everything else is still trash and I'll explain later on the later video. For now, I need to focus on my opinion on this expansion but I need to rant for a moment.
My god, has the game gotten worse on my computer? I think so. It was getting really difficult to record the video to the point it always bugs out the sounds. That even applies to Verdun and Tannenberg to the point the devs hate me and tries to stop me from making videos that I heavily passionate on these game. Like what the hell?!!? The game is still tolerable to play, but I couldn't properly record the videos, anymore. God. The devs really hate me for making too many bad reviews on their Steam page.
Anyways let's talk about the Montello map aka a sequel to the Piave map as it take place in a same river, but Austrians decide to steal the show from the poor Germans they were underused for only three maps. For the first time ever, it's actually a good map. Seriously. Despite the trees, the map doesn't run bad as I thought off. Even more so than the Strafexpedition maps that it makes this map fun for the Austrian side as the offensive. Speaking of Austrians, if you think the Solstice expansion will have the German faction coming back they didn't and it's fucking stupid. Oh well. Least they gave us a new looking gun. Hahaha. But I am getting off topic. As for the map design, it felt like a mixture of Fior and Caporetto, but no mountains and the urban areas only appear in the end. The last part remined me a lot of Gorizia's train station. It's a lot a fun as the building has two floors and you can see the Italian spawning spot. Perfect for fun camping. Overall, great map. I'll give my hats off to Blackmill Games.
As for the Shellshocked Units Pack, it's alright. The last cosmetic DLC I spoke was that I said I liked it because of cool viewmodel. But for this, it has cool models at the expense of viewmodels looking drab as the base game models with slightly darker uniforms. But I won't lie, the Austrians look like Nazi Zombies from Cod games which they do look sick. For Italians, they kinda eh. More lazy looking conscripts that turned themselves into zombies as the Austrians with the exception the Engineer class is cool with a balaclava. But you have to remember that cosmetics doesn't effect the game. Unless you want to buy them to support the devs, go ahead. But for me, it doesn't work that way when they refuse to listen to my feedback.
As for the new weapons, only two. One gun and a grenade for Austrians. Like my god, the Ascent expansion was god awful that added litteraly nothing to the game. But at least the Montello added something! So what they added. A Mosin Nagant in a ITALIAN FRONT!!! OMG. HAVE I PREDICTED THEY WOULD ADDED A RUSSIAN GUN IN A GAME FROM MY APRIL FOOLS VIDEO??!?! Yes and no. It's not a level action rifle as I thought it would. No acting cowboys really. Anyways what's it really doing in the Italian front? Probably the Hungarians got them from the Eastern front and gave the Austrians one consder Austria-Hungary's weapons are more reliant on foreign weapons than any other factions. So does the Bulgarians which is a neat.
Starting with Mosin, it's like a mixed of being aesthetically cool and practical. A cool looking Russian rifle that seems to reused from Tannenberg game and it's my favorite rifle there. Decent iron sight and bolting animations. As for Isonzo, it's given to Rifleman and Engineer classes. The rifle's performance is alright, but wonky as the animations seems sluggish for long range fighting. But for close range, because the iron sights are wide, it seems to perform better. Though cool reloads, it's pretty slow. Now for classes, it felt similar to Repetiergewehr M.14 so the rifle feels unneeded. For the engineer, it has a big difference because their loadouts are pretty crappy. Austrian rifle with the ugliest iron sight, Austrian carbine rifle being slightly better in every way, and a captured Carcano carbine that's also better in every other way too. Now with Mosin, it's a much better upgrade over the M.95 rifle allow for the rifle feels. But the bayonet doesn't work for some reason at it's expense. I suppose this is meant for long range shooting for engies. It a shame Marksman class don't have it. It would been so cool with a fast reload perk. Overall it's a good one-and-only gun like the Marmolada expansion.
As for new grenade, ehhhh it has a new animation but slower fuse. I never use grenades anyways.
It's a good update. Maps, the cosmetics, and one guns are alright. Unfortunately nothing has changed for the main game. Got nothing to say as RUclips hates essay

This is gonna be my last video I will ever record this awful game on PC. Unbearable the fact the recorded sounds is now bugging me out in all WW1 games and it made me sad. I have no choice but the purchase them in Xbox One for the sake of performance. Better wait the price out till Black Friday. Anymore future videos on these WW1 games when it comes to reload animations, weapon comparisons, and weapon sounds will be halted for now. No cosmetic DLCs will be included for the Xbox version because they ain't getting my money, anymore.
I might make another last video on updating the German machine gun, one last time, with a friend I haven't seen him for a year. Hope that doesn't bug out, too. Otherwise if it doesn't, poor me be reusing the same clip from the older videos. #BuffMG08/15

I'm Italian and... I highly doubt that in our front Germans used Mosins or any weapons out of the ordinary I would've expected they had more not so much seen Italian weapons or German ones

The Austro Humgarian army did capture some Mosins during the war so it does make some sense.

@@sackheadjones5407 seem fair but I don't think there's any mosin in our dedicated museums from what I remember if they do certainly not the Imperial one

@@222TripleJ Mosins were found by metal detectorists on WW1 battlefields in Slovenia. The Austrians also used Maxims captured from the Russians. Austria did have some kind of weapon shortage, like rear line troops were equiped with single shot rifles.

Big sam on the mosin museum channel looked through thousands of historical pictures and documents and there was a large amount of evidence that Mosin Nagant rifles were used in italy by Austrian forces. He provided his findings to blackmill games and now the rifle is in the game. I even own an austro Hungarian captured mosin.
