And the first episode, there is a scene where the Younglings are asked to meditate. One of the students says they see fire that devours everything just as Vanessa Rowe walks in. This is a callback to the scene where Yoda asked the Younglings to help Obi-Wan understand why a planet was missing from the archive.
I've heard a few other channels talk about this theory and I tend to agree. It's the only thing I can think of that could explain how Qimir got his scar and why Vernestra is so keen on covering all these events up.
Thanks for info on Vernestra that we who haven't read the books aren't familiar with! 2:05 "The almost lightning pattern" Certainly the most popular theory is that Vernestra was both Qimir's former Jedi master and the one who injured his back. But the way Qimir dodges Osha's question about who injured him has led to another theory that the one who injured him was NOT actually his former Jedi master. So, some see that this injury pattern could match up with (Sith) Force Lightning rather than Vernestra's light whip. So, perhaps Qimir had a Sith master (who was not Vernestra), but he was discarded by both Jedi and Sith?
Qimir is an apprentice. We've not yet seen the master. Control and power seem to be the uniform aspirations of the Sith, regardless of the books. Apprentices were used to manipulate events and to take action. That certainly seems like Qimir. The only goal would seem to be penetration of the Jedi to hide and subvert actions that run contrary to the master. It's exactly the kind of subtle action that might be initiated by Plagueis. So, what if Venestra is becoming suspicious of Plagueis. Plans within plans within ...
Could it be that Qimir is just a rogue Jedi, not affiliated with anyone else, and only wanted a "pupil" to keep him company and to use Mae to cause havoc with the Jedi to get revenge on his former Jedi Master, Venestyra? I know that sounds isolated, considering that an actor was hired for a short part as Death Tenebrous. I hate to think this may be just another "Marrok" adventure. At least, making Qimir a Rogue Jedi keeps canon unchanged for the prequels.
Vernestra has to be the last one standing to manage the cover-up, so that Ki-Adi-Mundi and the Council do not "know" that a Sith reveal has happened. So, Sol must die, Qimir is banished, and the twins are sent back to space witch manor, incommunicado. I have no explanation for the character of Yord. Pointless.
@@chrisholmes9625 I would probably need to be to watch this show. I'm obviously hypothetically speaking. But what you just said is exactly why I said this. I could see them making this about a female character who decides to change sex and species. At this point I wouldn't be shocked.
So what if she’s his former master. Who cares 😂 To be honest the plot would be much more interesting if she’s some sort of a sith lord within the order. That would really spice things up. See I’m no expert and still can come up with a better plot 😂
She's also his Sith Master, Darth Nepotis.
Kathleen Kennedy moment

This is a very interesting theory. I hope we get a deeper look at Quimir’s past in upcoming seasons.

I think a rouge Jedi is on pace of what the story is telling us. Tenebrous is more of an extreme given to what has been shown to us.
At this point in the show, a "rogue Jedi" could be considered the same as a dark Jedi.

It is obvious they want us to believe the green female Jedi is Qimir's master. It would be a huge shock if this is not true.
She’s the wife of the writer so she would have a fun part for sure.
I didn't know that. What you say makes sense.
Have you been reading any of the High Republic novels/comics etc?
Great work 👍🏻.
My question is, is Qimir on the darkside? I wonder how he got his crystal red. Other than that I haven’t seen him use the dark side.
Mr obvious is here!!!!!!
It's "KYE-MEER" not KHAMIR
Correct
Vernestra is actually Darth Plagus. This will be the shock reveal.
Are you drunk. Darth plagues is another speices

Noooo, a diverse woman cannot be evil...
Oh,i forgot, sith are the good guys now.

Oooo that would be a fun twist. I think it’s unlikely considering Yoda is her master…however, I welcome being proven wrong.
lol, that light whip ain’t gonna leave a scar buddy.
There were thousands of Jedi. It’s just bad writing that she’d never heard of him… were padwans required to memorize all Jedi names while training?
