Yes, that police officer was outnumbered with his colleagues already being taken out. He dealt with it the best way he could under the circumstances and I believe he stamped near his head to get the phone away from him. Note the phone being kicked away afterwards. The CCTV video shows the officers (lawfully?) grab the civilians, triggering a fight. During the ensuing melee, one man is tazed and falls to the ground, effectively paralysed, unthreatening and incapable of taking any action. While he is in that state he is kicked in the head by a police officer. What part of police protocol says its is OK to boot in the head someone who is not a threat and incapable of response? Of course the officer should have been suspended. Based on the video he should also be prosecuted for ABH. And yes, the civilians, if they were warned that the police were arresting them, rather than just assaulted out of the blue, should be prosecuted. There is an aspect that nobody seems to be commenting on. In situations such as these, the Police MUST prevail. That is not negotiable, and as the situation progresses the need to escalate becomes imperative.

Police feared for there life, they were the aggressors. He didn't know if he was going to get back up, the guy moved his head and policeman did what he had to do to defuse the situation. The other two female police offices got battered. How could he arrest him?, he just resisted arrest, would you trust him? after the way they attacked. He had to keep eyes on him with his weapon at all times.

Yes, that police officer was outnumbered with his colleagues already being taken out. He dealt with it the best way he could under the circumstances and I believe he stamped near his head to get the phone away from him. Note the phone being kicked away afterwards. The phone could be a trigger for a bomb, just remember it was in an airport. I hope someone is giving that policeman some counselling.
There's a photo of the two phones which the man in red had on him, so I'm pretty sure the initial incident which called the police over in the first place was more likely to have been over stolen phones

The irony is that the family who made themselves out as victims have since asked for the protests to end since the CCTV footage came out to the world and exposed their own actions during what should have been a simple arrest , and the two brothers and the mother interfered with the arrest by attacking the FEMALE police officers multiple times first , then went after a male police officer for punching their mother ,but I noticed the mother was right next to the Muslim in blue and took a punch to the face and then went down after he punched her and gave her a black eye , his own mother was punched in the face by her own family member and they blamed the police .
The amount of people who are saying in light of the new video clip that the officer was right to do what he did is astounding.
The Full clip shows the officer originally trying to put the Asian kid in a headlock. This failed, and when it all kicked off he came off worse when his brother joined in.
After the Asian kid was tasered and incapacitated, he then took this opportunity to retaliate as this was the perfect time for his revenge.

Resisting arrest is an offence, as well as assaulting the coppers afterwards - but the reaction by the copper when he saw he had the chance was plain and simple retaliation as he lost his temper and one that could have led to a member of the public being crippled.

Officers are not told to stamp and kick on someone's head if somebody still posed a threat - and lying on the floor in a prone position with your arms by your side, does not signify a threat.

Regarding the Armed Police attack-
Armed Police have to secure the scene when guns have the potential to be taken from Police and used against them. Face the consequences if you attack an Armed officer.

Why would you only release the end part of the footage and cause outrage, and then release the first part afterwards and cause the opposite outrage? The CCTV video shows the officers (lawfully?) grab the civilians, triggering a fight. During the ensuing melee, one man is tazed and falls to the ground, effectively paralysed, unthreatening and incapable of taking any action. While he is in that state he is kicked in the head by a police officer. What part of police protocol says its is OK to boot in the head someone who is not a threat and incapable of response? Of course the officer should have been suspended. Based on the video he should also be prosecuted for ABH. And yes, the civilians, if they were warned that the police were arresting them, rather than just assaulted out of the blue, should be prosecuted.
PS I support those police who abide by the law and act professionally and revile those who abuse their position or can't control their temper. Lastly, my father was a policemen so I have a decent understanding of the frustrations and concerns of the police but none of that excuses the reprehensible behaviour of the officer.
