thanks so much for putting this up! been looking for ages for the whole clip. my first exposure to this criminally underrated group / bloke. what a singer - lovely scott walker tinge. what a songwriter - the middle 8 in 'love is a wonderful colour' is to die for...
20 years ahead of their time....before jangly guitars were all the rage ..live they were mostly epic good or occasionally a car crash but always brilliant...
When in the winter of our discontent We found a way To tie a bond between our hearts In the open field should there we lay Found a sharp stone, found a big tree Found a clear space in the bark Laughing louder chance a fine thing Moving slowly off the mark Out of season given reason Could we see inclement weather? Will you want me as I want you as you are? The autumn is the finest time, the finest of them all Will you need me as I need you as I did? As I always should've done, tell me when we're there Not too long and not too far My dreams and I were wondering If we harbor, if we labor Sweet the fruit that fortune brings Who will help us through these cold years? Could I glimpse a rising sun? Will you want me as I want you as you are? The autumn is the finest time, the finest of them all Will you need me as I need you as I did? As I always should've done, tell me when we're there Will you love me as I love you constantly? Wasted in the downpour Whatever we believe, whatever we believe Take them under, take them over Crack the bullwhip, chop the tree
Mores to the point G K-W, the unknown Spanish guitarist, why didn’t he play keyboard on chop the tree? Would have allowed Boots to do his stuff on guitar. Great footage though..
probably the most under rated and best band to come out of the 80s in Liverpool
Their debut album is really excellent
Such talented gents..especially Chris Sharrock saw him play with Oasis 10 years ago!
Never forget this appearance on The Tube . Still love this song today. Many thanks for the post.

When in the winter of our discontent
We found a way
To tie a bond between our hearts
In the open field should there we lay
Found a sharp stone, found a big tree
Found a clear space in the bark
Laughing louder chance a fine thing
Moving slowly off the mark
Out of season given reason
Could we see inclement weather?
Will you want me as I want you as you are?

Will you need me as I need you as I did?
As I always should've done, tell me when we're there
Not too long and not too far
My dreams and I were wondering
If we harbor, if we labor
Sweet the fruit that fortune brings

"Dude! Stop throwing @#$% on my gear! I'm trying to play this song!". (Lol)
Genius.
Brilliant. Many thanks.
What a sad bunch of limp vegetables the crowd, no dancing? No singing? Great song, great band.
Andy Warren from Crosby band Islands of Dance (later called I-Lands) comes on to play acoustic and keyboards on LIAWC
Have wondered who he was ever since first watching this!!
I loved Islands of dance. Saw them many times.
Does anyone know what tuning Ian McNabb used on his Rickenbacker 12 string? He is playing open chords.
Great tune, great to see. Who's the guy playing keyboard and guitar?
Ian Mcnabb...
@@robertoestebanmoreno6996 nah, the other guy at from about 4.35
An old friend of mine - Andy Warren who was in a band from Liverpool called Islands or Islands of Dance.
