I just bought one for my bass. looking forward to finding some low end grrrrrrrrrr!
omg killer tone, great demo! what's the tuning on that big wreck riff?(a place to call home), sounds sick!
Javier Salcedo Thanks! We love Big Wreck! It was just standard tuning here, but I think on the album Ian was tuned down to B.
Will you be doing a demo of the Quilter OD 200? How would it compare to the Matrix VB800?
We will indeed! It should be up in a little over a week!
Made it to @4:51, and that's not a CLEAN amp sound, it's already breaking up quite a bit, right from the START, so we don't have any idea how this PEDAL really sounds, unless we happen to plug it into a Marshall type amp and set it up EXACTLY like you had YOUR's set up. I understand that you're using it like people typically use an OVERDRIVE, and "hitting the front end of your amp" with it, and while that may result in a "good" or even "great" tone, it's not necessarily gonna be an ACCURATE representation of how this pedal is gonna sound. ESPECIALLY for those of us who use a crystal clean Fender type amp as a "pedal platform". However, you CAN get a fairly "flat" clean tone from a Marshall. So for PEDAL DEMO videos anyway, I'd say that using a CLEAN, flat (EQs around noon) sound as your base would give people a much better idea of how that pedal sounds, and would better convey the little nuances and such that might be lost by crankin up your AMP's drive, and farther "coloring" the sound... But, that's just like, my opinion, man, LoL... For what it's worth, the video looks great, and would be perfect otherwise!
I TOTALLY agree with you. I don't get why someone would "demo" a gain pedal into an amp that isn't Fender clean. I want to only hear the pedal ?!?!?
Way touch drive and nothing else, certainly into that amp.
WINNER? AMP!
