  • Hi!
    No music. No talking. Just work.
    If you are taking your TOSHIBA Satellite L300 laptop apart be careful and wear an anti-static wrist band or use other anti-static device. If you need to change a LCD usually you don't have to take screen out of a laptop. You can leave it on a laptop and watch the last part of the video where I am taking LCD apart. If you need to change a keyboard, you don't have to take all bottom screws out. There are usually some marks, like a keyboard picture, on a case bottom. If you need to put a laptop back to work be aware of screws. They are different and you better remember or mark them somehow to insure that you will put them back in to a right place.
    Some laptops I take apart first time, so don't be serious on my time and performance.
    If something got broken - ooops, it's your fault.
    Believe me, some parts in your laptop are already broken, you just don't see that.
    This video is like insurance for your laptop. With this video and some skills you will be always sure that at least you can try to repair your laptop. If it's broken you don't have to sell it or throw it away. You can find some new or used parts somewhere and change it. It maybe will be your new job or hobby. And if it didn't worked out you still will be able to ask somebody else to fix it.
    So, just watch this video and fix your laptop.
    Have fun and good luck!!

    Thanks, this was useful. For anyone doing this, 13 x F6 Screws on the underside have to be removed first and 3 x F3 from the battery bay in order to remove the keyboard surround on the upperside.

    That is brilliant, regazz - how I wish there were more "how to" presentations in your style - you make completely clear what needs to be done without annoying music or irritating 'cool' vocals. Bravo! This the best video of its kind that I have seen online.

    Don't forget to watch a first part of the video, there should be a link to it
    In the first part I am taking all screws out. So, if you take all necessary screws out and unplug cable without damaging latch (on the motherboard) than you will be able to put it back, Be very gentle with all this connectors.

    Worth bearing in mind if you follow this, is that what he doesn't show you is that there are a lot of screws underneath (including 3 in the battery bay) that need to be removed before the main top cover with mouse pad etc can be taken off. Unscrew every screw you can see under there.

      BlankFX hey, the way it should be done - you can check specs for your motherboard and "Google it" for what type of CPU can be used. It's a bit of a research, but anybody should be able to handle it.

    • @xpmule
      @xpmule 7 лет назад

      First step is figuring out what model you have.. there is LOTS of L300's and many new CPU's won't work unless you update the BIOS first. A quick rule of thumb is as long as it's the same line of CPU's with the same socket it *should work but Google it.

      It's getting too hot and dirty i bet.. probably too many background app;s running. Try blasting the 2 vents for the CPU fan with canned air (if you don't want to take it apart and clean it manually) I think your machine is running too many processes by the sounds of it though.. When it's idle at room temp the fan shouldn't be kicking on.. the CPU heats up because of usage..

    Товарищ, не в курсе как решить проблему - нижнаяя половина экрана в полоску показывает, периодический само проходит, потом опять появляется? на тошибе Л300Д

    • @regazzz
      @regazzz  8 лет назад

      +ProximaHydra Привет,
      если на внешнем мониторе проблемы нет, и это иногда происходит, а иногда нет, то это скорее всего видео шлейф. Сначала переткнуть шлейф на материгке и на экране и посмотреть будет ли происходить опять. Потом попробовать другой шлейф. Потом попробовать другой экран.
      Не замечали ли Вы если при открытии экрана линия пропадала или появлялась?

    • @ProximaHydra
      @ProximaHydra 8 лет назад

      проблема в том, что нет ни внешнего монитора, ни запасного шлейфа, вот только что разобрал, покрутил шлейф, изменений никаких. Я бы и не разбирал но половина экрана сегодня вообще погасла, вытащил матрицу, чутка помял и стало показывать "как обычно" в полоску (хотя бы видно что на экране происходит)

    • @regazzz
      @regazzz  8 лет назад

      +ProximaHydra ну если логически, Вы вытащили матрицу и помяли ее и она заработала, значит проблема в матрице. Точно тогда не шлейф. Надо заказать матрицу или даже у друга попросить протестировать (некоторые экраны даже меньшего размера имеет тот же коннектор) И тогда все станет ясно.

    • @ProximaHydra
      @ProximaHydra 8 лет назад

    Not a bad vid, I know some guys like to talk too much but pointing out a few things are OK, like what real super pain it is to replace the CMOS battery, pull the whole laptop apart and then desolder and resolder battery. Toshiba must have been real idiots to make a consumable item so difficult to replace. Should have been remove the cover on the bottom of the laptop, slip the battery out of the holder and place the new one.
