Nice Mantle Clock. I'm repairing those and other Clocks in my freetime. In this time i repaire a dutch Wallclock from the 1970's. Good Job and best Reguards from Germany. Eike
Thanks Scottie! Very helpful as always! Just finished my first Junghans (B11 Arch Style Westminster) and must have split the plates at least ten times before I got her sorted. I'm very new to clock repair-- You'd cringe at the state of the screws on mine😆! Looking forward to watching part 2.
I have a similar clock. Input small amount of oil every place i can on the shafts. The penguin still stops after half hour or so. What could cause this? Thanks
Asuming the movement has been cleaned and oiled, If your movement stops when you add the pendulum. A couple of things to try: # is there sufficient end play on the Escape Wheel # are the Pallets and Crutch moving smoothly (and continuing to) when the Pendulum is not attached, ie. the clock is in beat. # have you put a drop of oil on both the leading and trailing faces of the Pallets # is there a slight groove worn into the leading Pallet face # when you put the Pendulum on, does the Pendulum slow down gradually then stop, or does it work for awhile than abruptly stops if it is the latter, then the Pallets are falling too deeply in between the Escape Wheel teeth and the trailing Pallet is becoming caught on one of the teeth as it tries to escape.

Thanks for your comment. Is the Dutch wall clock you are repaiting a Zaanse Zaandam?
@@ScottiesClockWorld yes, IT is
@@uhren_und_technik302 , great. I love those clocks and am currently looking for one in Australia.
Thanks Scottie!
Glad you enjoyed the video.

I will be discussing damaged screws and how to repair them in the new series starting in a week or so.

@@ScottiesClockWorld Thanks for the info. I will have a closer look at these tips.
when do you replace the spring
I don't understand the question. Replace it because it is worn, or clean and lubricate it?
Hi Scottie, my clock doesn’t play music. It is a w200 machine. Can you tell me why
I put the minute hand back on then turn it. But the levers do not lifting.
Does your clock have a striking or chiming movement?
@@ScottiesClockWorld it is a chiming movement.
@@beautyday8456 , are the hammers missalligned on the rods, or does it make no sound at all?
@@ScottiesClockWorld it doesn't make a sound at all. the pendulum just run for few beat.
