Nice colors for watercolor artists and so easy using water, instead of costly mediums! I want to try mica powders..but most of the vids out there are mediums used for acrylic pours, which I don't want to do! I am surprised so far, that I haven't seen any info on what type of medium to mix with powders for just doing abstract paintings!! If you have any info on this, please let me know! Thank you!
If you’re talking about watercolor, gum arabic is the binder you’re looking for. If you don’t have any on hand, but want to paint now you can use white watercolor (tube) or white gauche as your binder. White watercolor would be best so you wouldn’t have to use as much pigment. I hope this helps!
Hello Vicki, thank you so much for this amazing video. My family and I had so much fun doing this on Christmas Eve. Because of your video I am not going to continue this exciting form of painting. Thank you for showing such an exceptional video. I even shared it on facebook.
New sub here from Spokane Valley Wa 💖 I am wanting to make my own metallics, thinking can you use soft gel to make a pigment gel that you mix with a varnish then add pm
Oh gosh, double thank-you for this one. I just got the pigment powders and moulding paste a couple of weeks ago and I must admit I was just a touch intimidated! Love, love, love these techniques!
Vicki, Thank you so much for showing how to use your different products. I see them now I know how to use them! I loved the glaze. I am having a terrible time finding them. Love and Hugs!
Missed out I think on getting these - they sold out with my local enabler - I have them on backorder so fingers crossed. I did get the pigment pastes so looking forward to experimenting with them. Thank you so much VickiB xx
I made a mistake by using pigment pen, diluted to watercolor a stamped image in travel planner. It made so many things bleed. Would using pigment powder be less intense or effect other media; or is it just the fact I used water?
Kristin...I suspect it was...the paper! If the paper s really porous...the pigment will bleed into the fibres. Create a practice page in the journal and test different things and vary the amount of water. Place a sheet of paper behind the page (to protect the next page) and when you are done...just cover it with a full photo or patterned paper. Hope that helps!
Thanks Vicki for sharing this. I bought your pigment powders as soon as I saw them, even though I wasn't sure what to do with them. But, I knew they would be versatile and you would have tutorial! I can't wait to try the spray and maybe add some perfect pearl to it. And, I want to try mixing it with your glaze, too! Or, maybe try translucent texture paste, just to see what happens!
Amazing product!! I am guessing the several thumbs down on this video were because RUclips is continuously putting ads along the bottom of your video, cutting off half of your demonstration. Quite irritating. If there was another way to place ads in the video, I highly suggest doing so. I have no problem with ads, understand their purpose but the placement could definitely be better. Thank you for taking the time to create these informational videos. I enjoy watching them and learning new techniques.
Absolutely love the colored wall behind you.😃👍
I bought 3 pigment powers by mistake, was looking for distress inks lol. So happy to see how to use them. Thank you. (insert smile here).

Love that you have wonderful information!!! Thank you 😊
Can you fixate them onto paper with pastel fixative spray?
Learning to use the products we have, have brought but don’t know how to use; excellent.
I agree...I have my own stash to open up and try, too!

All of the tips are lovely! But, #2 made me gasp!
Thank you but you have no binder in your pigments....they will not stick or last! I am confused ,what gives?
I wonder this too
They wipe off with out the binder. Arabic gum.
Yeah, she is sharing a technique but not mentioning that without a binder, it will just fall off the paper.
Must I use Arabic gum to use the kremer gold glitter powder?
I haven't used mine yet. But keen to play.
Yay!!! Practice and play!
I like the colors and will have to try it!
Can’t wait to use my pigment powders now that I have the techniques I need to use them. As always thank you so much vicki.
You are so welcome!
Great video! I have a vision for earrings and now I have options to achieve my vision! Thank you🥰

Hi Vicki, do you know if your pigments will mix with wallpaper paste? Thank you, Diane
Will it stay on paper?
Thanks for sharing these clever ideas! I've never used pigment powders before.
You are so welcome!

I am loving this series of videos! Looking forward to see how you are going to put these all together!
More to come!
Are u familiar in pigments for tattoo inks?
What’s it like on Bazzil
Can I use the same with eyeshadow pigments? Cause they are old
worth a try!
Thank you, I just got them yesterday. Can’t wait to play.
Great video two I did not know of thanks 😊
Glad you found me!
I just purchase these , excited to to try them. Does it work on all modling paste?
Mary Steinmetz thanks Mary! I say do a test! They should...they are loose pigments.
I love these classes ❤️
YAY!!!! I'm having fun!!!
Hi ya I’ve just ordered some !👍
I would like to try it on furniture!
Have you ever used them on a furniture piece 🤔
Hi! Could work...if you mix with a sealer or medium that works on wood.
I am really loving this series, thanks for sharing!
Glad you are enjoying it!
Super silly question but what would you call that acrylic plate that you're mixing on?
Not silly at all...it is a thin piece of acrylic. Look at repurposing packaging!
Mica powder?
🥰🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️Luv! Need to dig mine out too! Thanks for the inspo Vicki
You are so welcome!
Where can I purchase the powders, I've looked everywhere. Love you Vicki, you're a great inspiration and I love that you call us 'friends'.
Hi! They have been discontinued. I am sure there are stores that still have them but it might take some searching.
@@VickiBoutin aw this is sad to hear! They look like such fun!
I ordered this set from Let’s Make Art just last week.
@@randas2boys fellow Llama!
Great ideas as always!
Thank you! 😊

I hope u notice my question
The first problem I’m seeing is when you sprinkle it out you can’t put it in a spoon to measure it
I tried to watch but way way to much talking.
