I do not know Mark Dever personally, but I worked and served in 9Marks ministry for 3 years as a translator. I have translated into Spanish some of his books. One of them is Discipling. When I was translating the books I felt like if I knew him because of the spiritual connection. The Holy Spirit makes us all Christians a family.
Just met Dr. MacArthur Tuesday at the Answers for Pastors...what a humble and gracious man of God he is. So blessed to have heard his two messages in KY.
Truly amazing ! Truly encouraging ! Truly a blessing ! I can't wait to visit Pastor Dever's local church in WA - and Pastor MacArthur's local church in CA .... I pray for you men - continue the work that God has put in your hearts ! First Corinthians 10:31
Thanks for posting this video, I fellowshipped at Pastor Dever's Church before the pandemic, his doctrine is very similar to Pastor John Macarthur's, who inspired me to walk away from a cult 14 years ago. ⛪💟
There's way too much of a celebrity culture in mainstream evangelicalism. It's not Mark Dever's Church there in Washington DC, (it's the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, wherever Mark Dever or whoever else may be serving as pastor at). Nowhere in scripture is a church ever identified with or by the name of an Apostle or pastor such as Paul's Church, or Peter's Church ect. (the place yes, but never the man). Also, the fact that the whole room is clapping when he comes up to preach makes it seem that the focus and the praise is on the man rather than God. All the applause that goes on in churches these days is more indicative of a show and a performance rather than biblical worship. These things do steal glory from God and should be realized and repented of.
@SpurgeoniteTo say "would you like to visit a Christian church, or evangelical church?/The church where I attend or am a member" would be better and more biblical. Or in the days of celebrity Pastors where they are pulling in six figures at least something like "let's go to the church where Mr. Spurgeon is the pastor." BTW, it should never have been called Spurgeons Metrolopolitan Tabernacle in my opinion. (Isaiah 2:22)

morrij01 he doesn’t want to “fight his friends” but Dr. John should realize we don’t have the luxury of fighting error/heresy disembodied, it always involves a person, sometimes a friend.
@@doctrinalwatchdog6268 What's wrong with being a democrat? The Bible doesn't tell us which political party to go with, only which God to serve. And both parties have been wrong on many things before.
@@doctrinalwatchdog6268 I’m certainly anti-abortion myself but I l’m not going to judge someone if they want to vote for someone who is pro-abortion. For example, with the way Congress is situated right now (majority anti-abortion) it doesn’t seem like Biden would be able to put in place any pro-abortion legislation. So for someone who doesn’t want to vote for Trump, I don’t see a problem with voting for Biden. And I think the issue of whether or not churches in states with strict laws (like MacArthur’s in California) should be meeting on Sunday is not black and white. I can see how a pastor like MacArthur could justify meeting in defiance of the governor’s requests. Weekly gatherings are certainly helpful in maintaining the health of the local church, but I also think that there are at least a few good reasons for not meeting yet. I think it’s important that we empathize with one another in times like these instead of being divisive. I think Dever gave his opinions with respect and tact without condemnation

Dever is now catering to wokeism. So be careful, read your bible like a berean.
Mark Dever is a great guy!
Love it !
I love to hear Pastor John Macarthur !
Br. John, you should come to Louisiana.
Are either one of you coming back any time soon?
I seriously doubt that John MacArthur would endorse him the same way now.
Which tells me JM lacks biblical discernment. Has he publically retracted his endorsement, do you know?
Why?

I agree with Koba! Spot on!

Maybe John should address how Mark is capitulating to the Marxists and the homosexual lobby.
