I think it would be nice if they brought back the older cosmetic items and allow us to earn them in some way. Hell, even buy the older skins in some way so the newer players could actually get some quality skins for once

Aside from Black Ice, my favourite seasonal skins were the ones added in Velvet Shell. Every season since then I’ve liked the skins less and less, and the last one I actually bothered to buy was Oceans Teeth however long ago that was, probably at least a year.

I remember when cosmetics were first coming out, and people bashed those bright, fun colours to guns. Saying it had no place in siege...
This game really has become Ubisoft "Damned if you do, damned if you don't".
i suppose this is the opposite in csgo. valve thought the community would like the plain ones, but it became quite the opposite. correct me if im wrong
They bashed them because the Tom Clancy games had always been gritty and tactical, and the original players of this game were mostly that fan base, however as time has gone on this game has gt increasingly popular and they obviously are no longer catering to that crowd since Ace is the first Operator in over a year to even wear a helmet and Mozzie pizza is a thing.
The playerbase is a bunch of spoiled, unappreciative little brats. Cry over anything and everything they can

No, Quick play should be revamped to be like CS:GOs maps, you can select the maps you want to play at the cost of potenitally higher queue times, a good amount of maps are shit (Fortress, Plane, House, Bartlett, Outback, FUCKING HEREFORD) and you just groan because you don't want to play the map, you HAVE to meme on some maps just to have fun with it because it is just so bad otherwise
I look at the battle pass and I’m always like “So I guess they don’t want my money again.🤷🏼♂️”
I’m sorry, but my skin has a direct correlation with how many kills I get 🤷🏻♂️

What is your thoughts on if Kali sniper rifle could shoot and destroy bullet proof device? I feel like it would give her more utility. Also she only has like 20 bullets in her riffle it wouldn’t be that over powered and if it was maybe make that it take 2 or 3 bullets depending on the device.

That’s a good idea. I think that maybe kali would break the bulletproof layer of the device with one bullet so it can be shot with a regular bullet from your teammates. For example, the bulletproof glass breaks on bulletproof cameras and the bulletproof glass breaks on maestros evil eyes. Just an idea.
That would make Kali overpowered, she already is good, and making her gun be able to destroy bulletproof gadgets would be actually insane.

That would be way too strong. She already has 3 explosives. Making her that strong would break the game. She would become a must pick. Her secondary would be her primary and the sniper would be utility clearance. She would do the work of several utility clearers on her own.

Troy Baker is 1. Barely in last of us 2, and 2. Probably unlikely to say anything bad about the company that just employed him otherwise he will get deep dicked by the industry. And Matimio has a point, you don’t know what point of development those leaks come from, what could or already has changed. Critique the product when it comes out as that’s when they deem it fit to be seen
He literally mentioned how Nokk is different from the leak. Also if leaks were true, we would have got a medic instead of Ace. Melusi would get a smart barbwire that cant be meleed.
But yeah, new leaks seem more likely to be true.

the gold skin from the recent event Grand Larceny was the best I've seen so far. The only skin I felt was worth getting.
About picking objectives in quick match. As someone who pretty much only plays quick match, i'd love that, like in secure area on border i hate getting tellers, or i also hate kids room on house but love the garage. So being able to pick garage over kids on house or pick armory over tellers on border would make the game so much more fun in my opinion.

You can do this already tho. You can just got equip a reflex or something. Do literally mean the exact optic that Ela has on her pistol, and have the option to put it on the shotguns?

I’ve felt the same way. Ripping open a Alpha Pack to find a duplicate polka-dot skin is insane in 2020. Where’s the digital camos, blood camo , skull camos??? Some are cool like black ice and etc. but the common skins are super weak imo and some look made in under 1 minute 🤦♂️

@@matthewlee3250 iana's replicator is a duplicate model of the player, while alibi's holograms are more of a independent model to the player. i can't explain it further since i don't have that much understanding of it, but that's the gist of it.
the velveteen literally looks like the alembic on top and that elephant skin on the bottom nice ubisoft great design

My favorite cosmetics were from blood orchid. They were so vibrant and well designed and just fit the theme so nicely.
to the obj picking in casual: we need that. I lost count of the times where my buddys and I got a shitty obj three times in a row
I remember watching Matt back when he played with lvlcap on bf4 and continued to watch him once he started playing siege and this mailbox series is so old I remember these from years ago. They used to be Saturday right? That’s besides the point thank u matt for the consistent quality and quantity of videos

My biggest gripe with the Siege art team is the lack of cosmetics for the newer operators. Someone like Ash has 2 elites, hundreds of headgears and outfits but operators from over a year ago still dont even have 3-4
Some of the character cosmetics have been great, weapon skins have been lackluster (except the universal from the Halloween event, love that one). I think the issue they’re running into is trying to make the “mY rEAliSm” people happy, while also coming out with stuff people will buy. I think the Summer skin is great, a lot of the Battlepass weapon skins look cool.

Monday Mailbox: do you like the idea of the new sights like the leaked 1.5 magnification sight.
i think a cool idea for an operator would be a defender that could kind if interrogate drones? like during prep phase, he/she could pick up a drone and do a little animation where they tinker with it and then the defenders can see the attackers line up before action phase. this would allow the defenders to prepare better for the round.
i miss the days when everything was tacticool and elites were ww1/2. simpler times

For vigil I feel like they could have so much potential for his mask and future cosmetics, for example something along the lines of the mask from “Army of two”
Been playing this game since it first game out. Thought the first elite uniforms were amazing and bought sledges. And then more came out and Jaeger got one and it was fucking amazing. Now I just don’t know what to think about the newer ones.
I wish they still made the seasonal skins like the ones from red crow and skull rain those were the best
My gripe about cosmetics is that the quality has gone down a little, but the prices have gone up. For example, seasonal skins used to always cost 25k renown, and now they can cost up to 27k with the season pass. Same with bundles. They went from these cool items to desert and woodland camos that cost 50k renown.

That lock on weapon sounds a lot like the smart pistol from Titanfall 1. A weapon that aims itself as long as you're aiming at them so you can focus on your movement

I’ve always wanted a fade universal skin and an oil spill universal, I think they would both look very good.
Crossfader is the best imo and I'm pissed I didn't buy it back in velvet shell
Wish there were more skins like crossfader from the velvet shell season. Has bright pink and purple with a dash of black. Perfection.
I think the last season to have pretty good seasonal skins was velvet shell. Crossfader being my absolute favorite

What do you think of a flip grip?
It would have vertical and angled settings, but each would be worse than the actual grip. Imagine killing a spawnpeeker in vertical mode and swapping to angled mode to go into site later in the round.

It would be like the original muzzle break, it was almost a perfect in between for flash hider and compensator and was used on basically every gun that got it.

Grim Sky and Parabellum were the last seasons that had some nice seasonal skins.The deco artistry skin from last season is also cool.Other than that weapon skins have been pretty average in my opinion.I think they need to have skins that are designed by the community.Ive seen some sick concepts and it’s a cool way to get people involved.

The reason I like Black Ice so much is because of how cool it looks. They should release a group of skins that had singular colours then LED’s on them
Totally yes, I would always choose my favourite seasonal skin and unlock it. Some seasons recently I decided I liked neither. Im someone who has themes for operators, such as my Blackbeard with the pirate headgear, map weapon skin and Cannon charm XD these newer skins don't offer me much in putting together cool outfit combo's

I had an idea for a sledge update, make it so that he is able to hammer his way through reinforcements, i would take 3 hits in order for him to break through giving defence a chance to prepare but could also be used as a decoy if he went around and hit different parts of the reinforcement. I feel like sledge is just sadly being left behind more and more as the game progresses.
I think they should try out having the jump and the actual slam as two separate abilities.
They should add cinematics at the beginning of the matches where the attackers arrive by: helo, truck, apc, or some way, it would be cool

I think that people have to remember that art designers are under lockdown too... they don’t have their usual setups, they aren’t able to brainstorm as well, get feedback, etc.

As for weapon skins many people have made their own ideas for skins and frankly they look better than most of the Ubisoft skins that have recently released. For example blood ice which is a red shift version of black ice
I play mostly casual and something that is frustrating is RUclipsrs saying that I want bad maps in the casual rotation. I leave every game of Tower because it is such an unenjoyable map to play. If I get stuck playing a bad site it feels bad. Just because I don't play ranked doesn't mean I want to play bad maps/sites.

One of the best legendaries to me in this game is the Pink weapon skin...my friend got it in an Alpha pack..I liked it so much that I decided to go visit him and play siege on his account just to play with that skin..that was back in year 3... now I look back to those times and I wonder why don't these new skins make me feel that same way..I feel they are just relying on the wooden antique theme for their legendaries...
I would argue that cosmetics are a huge part of the gameplay loop in siege. The only tangible rewards you get for winning are alpha packs (which hold cosmetics) and renown (for buying cosmetics). The fact the cosmetics are subpar is a sizable blemish on this game which I feel needs addressing.
I completely agree with the new skins and I used to be excited for new weapon skins but now I don’t really care anymore. Also, they aren’t making any weapon skins anymore which are on the same level as black ice, cross fader or chupinazo

People leaving before interros in ranked is still a problem. In ranked they just leave while I'm running over and reconnect. Ubisoft needs to do something about this

Casual is actually super competitive recently for some reason, at least on PC. I am unranked and constantly got matched up against 3 plats sweating their brains out in casual, and this is just annoying as hell
I found a 5 man sweating in casual about 10 minutes ago already in mood for ranked rather
Actually most of them aren't sweating that much.
Most of the time they would take higher risk to get a kill by running out or going into gunfights aggressively, you don't do these in ranked
It only feels frustrating because they can come out on top in gunfight against most casual players.

I never see warden in ranked even after he has been buffed. What do you think about giving him two secondary gadgets, and making him immune to flashes as a passive? He wouldn't have to activate his glasses.
I think at that rate, they could just give him a new primary rather than a second secondary.

What do you think on a Jackal rework, that instead of pings it reveals the scanned footprints for the entire team? It can have jus fewer uses or less time on. Maybe for balancing, the tracked defender can also see his footprints to have more information and maybe create a trap.

Earlier today I got a guaranteed legendary pack from the battle pass, and it gave me me a charm of ash’s boots with a sign saying “time to kick ass” probably the worst legendary I’ve gotten
I would love it if they added Black Ice to the newer guns, making Alpha packs openings fun again (for creators as well)

What do you think about a defensive operator who can trick attackers’ drone with an illusion into thinking that a wall is reinforced. This would allow for the defense to create more rotate and setups in some places

I used to be super excited about every new season because I would go check the new seasonal weapon skins and be blown away, every time I get on now I'm sort of disappointed about them.
For the comsetics, I was thinking that the uniforms are pretty shit recently. Pizza mozzie, tinfoil suit ace, lots of others. There's only a couple of uniforms/headgears that I find actually worth buying
I think they should have sets of the types of skins; meaning that there could be animal skins, futuristic skins, liquid skins etc.

This season for me personally has been an issue with Ddossers I can’t play consistently without getting booted from like every 3rd game. I thought Ubisoft fixed this issue but apparently the Ddossers are back

Ranked system . You can choose to bank your mmr to add to you rank or you can risk losing it and getting 25%more per win on the streak

Man I'm so glad that other people are noticing the downgrade of cosmetic skins over the past few seasons. Red Crow - White Noise were probably the best seasons for cosmetic skins.
Some of the weapon skins are good but the seasonal skins have been trash for a couple of operations
