NetherRealm Studios took to the stage at San Diego Comic Con in late July to announce content for the hotly anticipated Year 2 expansion of Mortal Kombat 1. Subtitled “Khaos Reigns,” the new expansion will feature additional story content and pick up in a world poisoned by chaos and anarchy thanks to Havik.
Kombat Pack 2 has also been announced, and will include Noob Saibot, Sektor and Cyrax (both of whom are now female), as well as guest characters Ghostface, Conan and T-1000. As widely expected, Animalities also make a triumphant return to the series for the first time since their inception in 1995’s Mortal Kombat 3.

I couldn't be more agree than you guys haha. honestly, I don't feel hype enough from this story expansion. I'm digging anymore on the timeline/multiverse anymore, it's more confusing even more lol. Wish we can see a true golden age of the franchise like we used to enjoy before. so much lore to explore they have like the Tengu clan, who were Sindel's parents, the ancestors of Scorpion etc. but right now it's only about timelines and I hate they are following the Marvel factor of the multiverse. it's really repetitive and boring. I'm not enjoying how the story is going through this path. Wish to see Onaga making a huge comeback after all this.

Have the timelines merge once and for all. then the they run into the Titans and they explain that they tried to allow the splitting of timelines once kronika died, but didnt like it, so they said fuck it we goin back to a single timeline. then chaos ensues

I like the game for the most part but I feel it’s a step down from the last three MK games & i also think the new timeline is nowhere near as good as the original one & I also don’t agree with the amount of guest character they keep putting in the games since MKX it’s just to much & completely overdone, meaningless.
I’m all for diversity in video games but only use it for cool new characters that fit in Mortal Kombat instead of this lazy gender swap nonsense that’s not the way to do it at all in my opinion.
