    Awesome video! I was thinking about running melee as soon as I saw the footstep changes, but I hadn't put the build to test yet and this video is a great push for me to do so. I'm looking forward to more!

      @@GnawingRat Played some of it pretty shortly after your video, and I'm loving it. It IS strong, but more importantly to me, it's the sort of assassin playstyle that I wanted in the first place. I love this sort of playstyle that rewards you for sneaking up on your opponents as a squishier, high damage potential character. It's thrilling

    What up bro, yesterday me and my buddy were doing Priest/DK, we killed your buddy but you got away, and made a great play getting us to go around the room. You were able to shut the door on us, throw a fire pot, get your buddies stuff and run. We thought about it and made our way to static to camp you. There you were though. It either opened up at just the right moment or we were late. Good stuff though, learned alot from our interaction bro

      @@copypaster2802 weirdly enough I actually like sinners more, the main issue with it is that there are sooo many doors.
      If you hear someone in another room, you want to make sure you open as many entrances into that room as possible and make sure you have places to retreat to.

      If you go with full green then it is possible to cover 4 passives, str 1, dex 2 and stamina, but you have to roll extremely high on every item, but I managed to do it. However, normally I go with 2 blues with tiny torments and, optionally, 2 blues with alchemist and then rest is green. In my opinion dex 2 passive is more of a convenience and I go with stamina passive instead with quick blades. Str 1 and dex 1 are a must obviously. Q skill: I tried both petri and quick blades, quick blades are a more safe option, petrify gives more chances to kill by resetting, but if you mess up or a random mob breaks the petri and you did not heal, you are pretty much cooked. I play a lot in casual

    Awesome content and cool video. A fellow rogue here who has died to you a few times in game, so its cool to see ya throw out a vid.
    Ive definitely been struggling with what to do after landing a couple backstabs as the opener. I feel like against fighter its super risky. Im mostly playing in blues and greens and maybe its just not worth it to open against fighters with backstab or perhaps im just misplaying. Because as soon as I get one or (if im lucky enough) 2 backstabs I have to usually quickblade out and secure a get away which makes kiting them hard. To be fair if im in blues and greens I am not able to secure stamina perk to allow quickblades to give me a fresh invis. I opt for the 93 dex and strength perks but maybe this is a mistake at this gear score? Would it be better to spread it out so im hitting all 3 perks and sac the 93 dex fleet foot perk?

    • @GnawingRat
      @GnawingRat  5 дней назад +2

      @@RedFoxRR Hey thanks for comment, so truthfully I haven't played in Greens/Blues since the silent footsteps change. I would definitely have to get some testing in. Unfortunately I can't really imagine playing without all the perks but you can definitely hit them all in green and blues. You just need high rolls.
      If you're playing in green/blue on classic then it's going to very difficult to take down say a purple fighter or DK. I would say lead with the backstab anyway but immediately turn and walk away. Get a crossbow shot in and if they grab or spin or hit you with thunder clap then quickblades. At this point they're about half health or so maybe a little more depending on their gear.
      If they continue to push after the quick blades then keep kiting. Use and incendiary flasks to keep pressure and slow their healing. Kite with crossbow as much as you can and don't get too crazy with them if your quickblades is on cool down. The second they go to drink a pot or use a bandage is the perfect time to get another dagger combo in.
      The thing I've been dying by the most these days is Rupture.
      Getting thunder clapped close range without quick blades is usually death or getting ruptured.
      Let me know if you're playing casual or classic because someone also had a similar comment. I'll go in with greens and blues and see what feels different. I can even try not using all perks. I actually have a feeling the stamina perk might be better than the 93 dex perk.

      @GnawingRat I've been playing mostly casual. As a rogue and my uncomfortable and unconfident feeling in sinners end I try and stray away from it. feel like im probably just needing to run it more so I can gain that confidence. Just feel more panicky and clostraphpbic in that map. I generally find I get stuck in weird corners and die in sinners end haha. But I do enjoy classic castle and will run that also.
      As far as the info I really appreciate it! Will try that out and opt for all 3 perks.
