Our tree topper that we've had for over 20 years broke last year and I haven't been able to find a replacement that I like so I came home and started looking for crochet videos and after looking through a ton, I finally found this one. Just finished my star and I'm in love! You are an amazing teacher and very easy to understand and very thorough!

Love it!! Trying it but with regular 4 weight yarn for my mini tree (it's just a couple feet in height). Hopefully it'll still come out as nice as yours, just smaller :)

I've tried this out a few times I just keep getting lost on where to decrease
You'll decrease at the beginning and end of Rows 2, 4, and 5 for each star point. Hope this helps!
Would an N/15 hook work? It says on the hook it is 10.00MM.
N-13 is the equivalent of a 9mm so that should also work! Your star might be slightly smaller, but not by too much.
