I just finished THE GREAT ALONE and it was the most powerful book I've ever read about domestic abuse. The Nightingale was good too, but nothing like The Great Alone!
The Four Winds is my first Kristin Hannah read, and I'm hooked. I do have to put it down every few chapters. I've had tears well up a few times, and I'm barely halfway through the book. KH writes the human experience beautifully.
The 3 Kristin Hannah books I’ve read and got me wanting more is The great alone, The Winter garden and The four winds. All were great books and helped develop an interest in historical fiction, just waiting to get my hands on The Nightingale.
I just done reading Magic Hour! After I finished at looked at the reviews and heard people say it was her worst novel, I can’t wait to read more! I loved Magic Hour so I can’t wait to read the rest of hers
Just found Kristen Hannah could not put the four winds down and it made me cry ,I love her descriptions and her character s just listened to the great alone and it was amazing another tearcherker
I just read The Great Alone, my first Kristin Hannah book. When I picked it up I thought it was going to be about Leni and Cora surviving a winter by themselves with no other help. That's not what it ended up being but it was still very good. The domestic violence really keeps tension going, like you're just constantly hoping Ernt doesn't go into rage anytime anything goes wrong.
I love Kristen Hannah. My fried told me to read "Firefly Lane" and have tissues close by and man she was not kidding. I too sobbed. So good. My fav by far was the Nightengale. Loved it so much. Great video!
I appreciated hearing that the things we do for love and fire fly lane are worth checking out. I have read the other three you mentioned, and just finished winter garden. I would end up recommending winter garden, but for the first half of the book I was wondering if I was even going to finish it. None of the characters was sympathetic but as the story unfolded and the reader could understand more about the main character, the matriarch of the family, you began to have extreme empathy for her. Another sob fest at the end.
I agree with you. I very much struggled getting into Winter Garden but once the WWII storyline starts to pick up, it becomes much more enjoyable and you understand why some of the characters are the way that they are.

She really does! I was so anxious reading The Four Winds. I had to take breaks as well.
I just started The Nightingale and I absolutely love her writing style and the stories. So excited to explore more from Kristin Hannah.

Im so happy u made this vid!!!

I really wish I loved Kristin Hannah. Maybe it’s because she is such a good writer that I can’t bear to start her books. So so sad.
You do have to emotionally prepare yourself for her books :)
