This is a beginner's guide to Kristin Hannah. I recommend any of these books if you are just starting out reading Colleen Hoover!

The great alone is the book I can not stop thinking about. It feels like the characters were friends that I’ll never get back.

The nightingale and the great alone are amazing. I currently read the Four Winds by her also and its unputodownable. Kristin Hannah's books are amazing!
I agree, Kristin Hannah is my favorite also and The Great Alone is my fav also.
Currently reading the great alone. Almost finished with about 100 pages left. This book is impossible to put down. I cannot express enough how amazing this book is. I feel like I’m living in Alaska with Leni and her mother right along side them during everything the whole time. The emotions Kristin makes me feel at every turn are indescribable. She is such an incredible author. I loved the nightingale, sobbed at the end but the great alone is on a different level.
I love the night road by her. I read it at least 3 times and I always cry at the same scenes. It's one of my favorite books of all time!

I finished Night road last month. I had never cried from a book before but it legit made me bawl. I still feel a knot on my stomach whenever I think about Lexie or Mia.

I'm new to Kristen Hannah. I've started with Firefly Lane, and I really love it. I'm only about 75pages in, but I loved from page one. I was in school in the 70's, and it took me back there so much. So many memories came back. She tells the story so well, and talks about the fads and so many other things from that time. Thank you for your review. I have never heard of The Great Alone, but I put a request on it from the library app so I can read it on my kindle after I finish this book, and Fly Away. I got that one on Kindle Unlimited.
That was the 1st book I read from Kristin Hannah I loved that book too very well written love telling
I haven’t read any Kristin Hannah just yet but I did buy Firefly Lane because of you ☺️ It sounds a lot like Summer Sisters by Judy Blume which I absolutely love and made me cry. I also bought The Great Alone because I love the 70’s. Can’t wait to read them 😉

I just finished The Great Alone and it also my favorite book I’ve ever read.
I have just read the Nightengale and then followed by the Four Winds…. I loved them both and am ready for my next ….
I have the Great Alone on my TBR. I didn't really like Four Winds. I had higher expectations after reading The Nightingale. I ugly cried at the end of the Nightingale. I am currently reading Angel Falls. I picked it up because the mother has my name. So far so good
I’m currently reading true colors and it’s SUCH a different vibe than all her others I’ve read but so far so good!

I just read Firefly Lane (siper loved it!) then tortured myself with the sequel, Fly Away. She's the best! I read The Nightingale last 2018 if my memory serves me right. She's one of my fave authors!

I’ve actually read that one! The cover is impeccable and it is the MOST cozy story, though it is slow burn!

The first book I read of hers was The Four Winds and I absolutely loved it, 5 stars. I followed up with The Great Alone and loved that 5 stars as well. Personally WW2 storylines don’t interest me at all. I attempted Firefly Lane and couldn’t get into it.
Firefly lane takes a little to get into but once you do it is incredible!!!
I only read 3 books by Kristin Hannah but I'm planning to slowly read all of her books. My fav is also the Great Alone. I loved the Nightingale too. The Four Winds was very mediocre for me and it was disappointing.

I am a bookworm myself (although you have more books than I lol).
And I wanted to try to expand my book horizons: I have I have enjoyed historical fiction w/ reading Marie Benedict's books. Her books are not too popular, and I have all but one book of us. That is a recommadation that I have for you. :) Anyways: I was thinking of expanding my book horizons and I kept seeing Kristin Hannah and I would see her books at bookstores and I was not 100% sure, with this video- you have convinced me.

The books you mentioned are the only 5 that I've read so far... I gave them all 5 stars EXCEPT *Fly Away* (4 stars). I STRENUOUSLY OBJECT to your review on *The Four Winds* and I'd like it STRICKEN from the record 😂

Reading The Great Alone for the second time at the moment, such a wonderful book. Now that I'm reading it a second time, I wish she would've used the excellent Alaskan setting even more -- there were a few things I would've loved to see described in more detail, such as when they canned goods for the winter. Loved the scenes where Lennie learns to fire a rifle or shoots a bunny and eats the heart, for example. Wish there were even more scenes like that. Wonderful book, though, also for the realistic portrayal of trauma and domestic abuse (the same way she realistically handled the after-effects of sexual assaults in the Nightingale, for that matter).
Looking back I agree there definitley could’ve been more included about surviving Alaska
