Man i miss this car :( it was mitsubishis gutsiest move as far as body styling and looked like nothing else on the road. It was quite obvious that the 3000gt was a dodge stratus made to compete with the rx7 but the fto was different :P The fucking batmobile doesnt look as cool as this car and no car will ever have that unmistakable "Gift from the Gods" engine sound EVER because this was original. I hate that they stopped making it :(
FTO was one of Jackie Chan's favourite car as others like Mitsubishi GTO/Pajero. In fact FTO were featured in two Jackie Chan films in mid 90's. The FTO fame in Asia were mainly exposure in fims & Jackie Chan.
@Clesarie sure dsmlink doesn't work on it but i think evoflash/scan works, and you could always run megasquirt.... tuning is no problem, but parts for the 6a1x are impossible to find though
@Aztech355 Go to jamaica, they have tonnes of early 90s all the way up to the 2000s, of JDM cars there. I saw a silver FTO being used as a taxi. I saw my first skyline there Long before they became legal to import. Not only can you see cool cars like this in jamaica, but if its a taxi....yeah the driver will show you what she can do for some extra cash.
@87834649 'totally underated' means it is BETTER than people think! it's not a bad thing to say something is UNDERATED. It is bad to say 'totally OVER rated' ;) yes it has great handling - up there with the integra for FWD.
@thizzlamic509 Dodge Stealth, I'm sorry I got the names mixed up, I don't really pay attention to dodge's cars but I know that the dodge stealth shared the same chassis as the 3000GT.
lol a 3000gt(GTO) is a 3000gt(GTO) not a stratus the stratus is a 3000gt(GTO) with a smaller engine, tail lights, and new badges. The stratus is a watered down 3000gt lol. BTW i love the FTO, the back is completely origional
The Stealth still has nothing to do with the Dodge Stratus. The difference between a Stealth and 3000GT (GTO) is only a cosmetic difference. They're both mechanical twins.
@87834649 I understand what you say, but here in my country, Argentina, we have some stupid laws against foreign used cars, I've been searching, in Chile there's some beautiful GPX at u$s 7000 (that's very cheap) but like I said... the laws we have here plays against me. The only way is breaking the laws...
@87834649 yes, italian cars are amazing but i like cars from all over the world....from japan to sweden ecc....i hope one day to be so rich for collate cars from all over the world, this is the dream of mine, to go to the meeting in the alps...lol i am so dreamer

How is the GTO (Which was created in Japan) a Dodge Stratus? The Stratus came to life in 95. The GTO in 1990.
