The only reason for the 40mph limit is to extract as much money in fines as possible to try and recuperate some of the costs in building the new bridge. There is no other feasable/understandable reason for the 40mph limit.
The older bridge is still open, you just need permission to cross it. Only buses, taxis, pedestrians and cyclists are allowed to cross it without permission
No I mean a video from transport Scotland said they're redirecting all traffic to the Queensferry on opening day and a couple of days later redirecting all traffic to the Forth again etc.

It's not closing forever.
Pepsi Man Agreed, but it will close to cars forever, hence the last drive. In future, you'll be able to walk, cycle or travel by bus I believe.
