I really hope you will start getting back into fairs Dave. It’s what you were built for. I actually met you in person last year at st giles funfair and was amazed at how much of a genuine guy you were, so when I heard you had stoppped travelling around to fairs I was heartbroken. But seeing this vlog pop up on my recommended brought so much happiness to me. Keep up the good work Dave 👍👍👍.

I wish this was on my doorstep but sadly it's the other end of the country from me, wish it was moving to Norfolk! 2:21: ex Carters Overboats, I'm sure the smell your dad is referring too is warm oil and grease, I think that living van you wandered into use to be the one we had on display at the Bygone Village where I use to work (it's long gone now) that wagon was sold in the late 90s but I don't know who to? Love the Supercar Monte Carlo, very rare ride! 9:32 Supercar "Italia" Dodgem (the one with Popeye in), the red one looks like a Supercar one to but a really early one, looks 1930s! 9:38 Modern Products Ladybirds, LOVE the Ghost Train, Savages Gallopers, the music on it is off Roller Coaster Tycoon lol! Maxwell Moon Rockets, I would love to try this! this is the only one left! 1970s SBD (Spaggieri Barbieri Duce) "Alfetta" Dodgems, there are a couple of 1980s SDC (Spaggiari Duce & Co) "Espade" cars on there too! Orton & Spooner Speedway/Ark, LOVE this ride!!! way better then a Waltzer ;) I miss the one I worked on so much, we had an organ like that where I worked called: "The Great Gavioli", another wonderful item that was sold, I loved listening to it, great to see you load the book into the organ! We do need more places like this, sad this one is moving but hopefully the new homes will bring new customers :) Love your duck!
Dave is back! Don't ever quit the fair vidz yours are the only ones I watch. I never seen the vintage rides here. Its nice to see adults on rides - I am in my 50's and at my local fair I am always the old guy in line with the kids ha.

Amazing vlog. Old school fairground rides, you can't beat them for total nostalgia. First it was Carter's to go, now Dingles is going that only leaves Folly Farm down in Wales which has loads of classic rides. I remember your vlog there from 2022. 👍🎠

It really is a very awesome place! Went a few years ago for the first time with the family, as I just came across a leaflet of theirs. Then for fathers day not too long after, when it was in this newer layout with just the one building. Absolutely loved it and dad did as well! As he used to work on the fairs back in the day
That was very cool, I had no idea the place existed. I remember many of the rides and side stalls from my younger days - it was always about the speedway for me ! Don't remember ever seeing the moon rocket ride though. Cheers mate !

Don't ever let arseholes get you down mate stick to what you love ( oh & you'd find it really hard to hold on when that Ark/speedway is flat out 😂😂 there's a knack to riding those )

Omg what a amazing throw back I used to live in Cornwall altho I've not been to that place but I'm sure dingles was the ones that used to do the funfairs down there never seen those rides (I'm 40) but definitely seen that organ as a kid I used to spend hours watching from the front and side i use to be fascinated with how the music sheets went in. that organ used to be out for late night shopping. I've never unsubscribed and never will 😊
Also look out for the book Creating My Own Nemesis: by John Wardley he was involved in creating a lot of special effects before creating nemesis the ride

I use to go to Dingles a lot when I was little. They had couple of working steam engines on display and a Compton cinema organ. Sadly the all the steam engines got removed and the same to the Compton organ in 2015. Then all the exhibits and rides went into the new budling. It's a same to see Dingles go.
Nice little attraction this dave. Dingles has popped up on my radar a few times but never looked into it. No grass cutter twist? May head up in the summer holidays

As a kid, I rode the Moon Rockets at Lister Park Bradford between the late 1950s and mid-1960s; it was awesome! It was the fair biggest ride and to appreciate that you need to see it with your own eyes. I miss Carters Steam Fair too!

The Speedway is the Super Chariot Racer that belonged to Robert Edwards and Sons.
