My lowest TCGPlayer market price is currently $2.11 for my Fifth Dawn printing. I'm probably not the best wedding gift in the world, but respecting the ramp has to count for something...right?
I feel like a super obvious way to capitalize on her effect and to add redundancy is to use her to summon other legendary vampires. That way they keep themselves alive. But I’ve literally not heard anyone talk about that since her revealed in commander videos and watched
Olivia's a weird one. She's definitely running Master of Cruelties, that's for sure. Even better if you use Breath of Fury and any two other critters so you can kill the table with successive combat steps. You can even use things like Kroxa for game-long recurring value because he etb's and gets sac'd again for next swing. She's probably my favorite R/B commander so far. Exploit's another underdog value engine. Mono-B Sidisi means you tutor on attack. The new 3/3 can kill Planeswalkers. More a toolbox combo approach than midrange value.
Am I right? I've been recommending mitch for every1 I know that plays commander. Too bad not all brazilians can keep up with his pace while speaking english
Nice, I just build a deck around her, I would definitely include Rakdos the defiler, the only downside is there is a risk that you get exiled from playgroup
I actually love her a lot in my Strefan 99 Vampire Tribal. Cheating out big vampires early on to bum rush unprepared opponents with Strefan draws a lot of attention. Usually easy to bait a board wipe and then swing in with Olivia and go crazy. Also, lots of Legendary Vampires to ensure her drawback rarely triggers. Although, I haven't really played against people who have upgraded their precons very much if at all, still kinda new.
Note about Etali and Ralshasa Debaser: if they enter tapped and attacking thanks to Olivia their on attack trigger won't activate, since you didn't declare an attack with them
I don't really want to build Olivia, but coincidentally I have been working on a Chainer, Dementia Master grave matters deck and this helped a lot with some ideas for that.
So far I’ve been enjoying all of your videos for the past few months and have a question. Have you ever done a video about a horror/nightmare/hp love craft inspired deck??
For some strange reason, her foil showcase is like $70 on TCG player. Anyway, I decided to build her like this. She seems pretty strong. Not OP but a fair, powerful commander.
You ether need more legendary vampires in the deck or more ways to protect Olivia. she will get targeted often for removal and casting her after a couple times dying might get a little rough.
My "non-budget" olivia crimson bride deck is crazy. It's an immediate target now unfortunately. She's really expensive to keep casting, so keep that in mind. Might want to plan on ways to cast her from the grave or return her to your hand.
Honestly I personally don't think Olivia is a great commander. I think she is awesome in the 99 for the Vampric bloodlines precon upgrade that gets you a lot of value with high costing vampires. My friend has an Olivia deck and he sits and watches magic more games than actually play because she's so expensive and those extra turns it takes to get her back out puts him that much further behind and we are not even playing competitively. Personally I wouldn't use her based on my exp so far but I liked some of the card ideas I can incorporate for my upgraded precon 😁🤘
Most of my viewing experience of The Commander's Quarters have devolved into: Step 1) Click video Step 2) Press "1" on my keyboard to see the spoiler. (Or "2" if I don't see it with "1"). Step 3) Close video

This is perfect. Just cracked Olivia and have EDHREC up for a build. Amazing timing. On my birthday no less! Thanks, Mitch! lol
happy late birthday!
I'm starting to miss the "non-budget" upgrade section
Same, it's always nice to know how to improve it
Budget friendly is why I started following your channel, love these videos :D
All the legendary vampires reanimated by Oliva don't get exiled by their own trigger. Neat interaction.
Nice content! You're the reference Channel that i always recomend to new players!
I put together a budget Olivia/Madness/Vampires deck for my nephew. It's one of the most fun decks to play. Bojuka Bog pretty much kills it, though.
No Gary? Good reanimate target in a deck that has a lot of black.

It’s a lot more fun to just throw maskwood nexus in and make all your legendaries “vampires”

In the last few weeks I’ve recommended the Commanders Quarters to everybody at my local game shop for all of the awesome Commanders budget decks.

@@Pherpieh tip: they can set playback speed to 75% to slow it down.

I like
Wouldn't even be mad if somebody beat me using rakdos the defiler.
Just what the doctor ordered! I was thinking about building a deck around this Olivia as the commander! Thanks Mitch!

He already says that about Etali and multiple other times for creatures that have attack triggers
@@Spike-hl2mw I didn't hear it, I guess I wasn't paying much attention. I'm sure he said it for the eldrazi tho
Just Got A Showcase Olivia, So Happy A Deck Profile Got Posted So Soon After Release xD
thanks for the help i wanted to build a deck around olivia after trying out the commander format with vampiric bloodline
I imagine a MtG wedding to be like groom in black, bride in white, and three bridesmaids in red, blue & green
I don't really want to build Olivia, but coincidentally I have been working on a Chainer, Dementia Master grave matters deck and this helped a lot with some ideas for that.
I’d love to see an edh based on the new Crimson Vow commander. A vampire tribal would be cool.

She feels a bit like kaalia
Damn, im early to the wedding!
I just pulled her in a sealed! Hmm, might have to do this!

Apply death to opponents
Might be tempted to build this. I think I have most pieces already
Viscera Seer? You know, it's a vampire, and it lets you sacrifice creatures should you lose a legendary (so you don't lose them forever, yannoe)
I do have a lot of vampire in my binder
ashnods altar should be an auto include if you can afford the couple extra bucks
Is this deck good to build as a first begginer deck. I want a deck to play commander against my friends

When dat new Jodah deck tech coming soon?
We need Maximillion to do the expensive upgrade to these deck techs 😋
I feel Mirri the Cursed would be at home her
can you please do valki god of lies deck tech under 50 dollars you are the only one who can do this
