    Ahh, the Waffle Stitch. Such a fun and textured crochet stitch, and much easier than it looks! We use this stitch in a square for the Creighton's Blanket pattern, so we'll make one today in our tutorial.

    this is the easiest tutorial i have ever seen ive been trying to learn how to do a waffle stitch for months , my cousin just started crocheting and wants to make a waffle stitch cardigan ,i will definently send this to her

    This is the best crochet tutorial I’ve found! I have such a hard time understanding crochet patterns and stitches, I don’t know the names and trying to learn makes me frustrated and emotional but I’m having such a fun and easy time with your video

    You are amazing, I was scrolling through you tube and this tutorial appeared, I'm currently crocheting a pillow for my neighbour,she's just had hip replacement surgery, I am making one side with a bobble stitch and now I've seen this the other side is going to be this marvellous waffle stitch, looks so beautiful I'm already on row 6, do easy too.     Hello, I want to share what I do when my yarn frayed like that - I used the adhesive for fabric and put a small amount on your finger and rub the yarn together to keep it from further fraying or unraveling. I hope this helps. Let it dry before you continue.

    Actually I'm Letty, just a question, why on starting end you have an extra stitch equaling to 3 regular crochets & the other end 2? One end has 2 dc's & the other 3 dc's. Why not 2 dc's on each end?

      I don't count my chain as a dc, but you can do it that way if you want.

    I am not understanding how you work out your math in your written tutorial you say you go in multiples of three then add two but in your video tutorial you did 22 so if I went in your written method 20 isn’t a multiple of three can you explain it to me so that I do my project properly thank you

      Yes, I single crocheted around the entire square with 3 sc in the corners.

    Ok I think u need to tell people what size hook and what yarn they need. Telling us to make 20 dc is not very helpful. But what u made is very pretty. All in all very good Utube. Thank you.

      She's using a J hook. The yarn I do believe is of your choice. You're the designer.

      You can use whatever yarn you choose, along with the hook size recommended for that yarn. Hope that helps :)

      You need to have a multiple of 3 + 4 for the beginning chain.

    what does it mean to have a multiple of 3+4 , can someone give an example on how long it should be?

      you can make it any length you’d like, but make sure your number of chains is a multiple of 3 (so something like 18, 24, 30, or even much bigger like 72) and then once you have chained that multiple of 3, add 4 more chains on! it would be like (15) + 4, so 19 chains

      I did it just like in the tutorial...I did block my squares for the Creighton's Blanket photos though, before assembling.

    The only problem with this variation of the Waffle Stitch is that the pattern is uneven at the end of the first row repeat. This stitch is lovely though but I would prefer that it is even both ends.
