Paula Lagarto The audition in Malaysia divided into 2 category..dance and vocal..both category have a winner and advance to preliminary online audition in August..I'm not sure about the other country, but the audition in Malaysia for dance cover category no need to sing live since only the dance will be evaluated..
Thanks for saying something. I don't know why, but there are some rules that are accepted in one country and another in another country. Here in Portugal, for the past 4 years it's mandatory to sing live ourselves and dance at the same time. You must imagine how harder it is. In many other covers, I have seen what you said, only dancing and no singing and, of course, they mostly do a lot better. Also, we have to send a preliminary video to be selected for our country's final and it's usually 3 months before the finals here, but I've seen this year's winners from other countries doing songs that were released a month ago. I think the rules should be more even in all countries.
I'm agree with you..KWF organizer should give a better and concise rules so every country get a fair chance..yeah, it must be hard to singing live while dancing a hard choreography (eventho I'm just a supporter, lol)..but I also remember that after the Malaysian team advance to the finale in Korea before, they need to record the song with their vocal and sing it live..I think all of the finalist need to sing live for final in Changwon, but not in preliminary..and I wonder why some of this video auditions released earlier and some released like just yesterday..if the view counted for evaluation, that is unfair to the others..

What isn't fair is the way a finalist is chosen, as some only dance, and others sing and dance. Oh well, let's hope something will change next year. Our Festival is this Saturday, so let's see how it goes!
