Hi Hera, it would have any chance of uploading the record game and provide the link in the video description? I think it would be great. Greatings from Brazil. ( Sorry for my bad english )
Hera says if you're 1400 on DE, leave quick walling to until you get to a higher level. I find it the most important thing on levels 1000-1500 how to keep your vils alive. Quick walling, quick garrisoning, walling... Those are the most important things and yes, if by quick walling you mean traps and stuff then yea it's tricks and stunts.
I realy like your So you want to play vidos but I wonder wouldnt it be a better ideas to start with the weeker civs acording to your civ rating video ?
Hera, you should make a video teaching ways to defend against scout rushes. I mean, there's plenty of bo explaining scout and archers openings, but none about defending techniques. I find particularly hard to stand against scout rushes because pikemen are very slow to stop the harassment. I know walling is a good defense, but when to do it? Should I go for watch tower?
What exactly do you do against meso civs with their eagle warriors at the beginning? This is like the only thing I personally struggle with as an beginner player. And I would like to see Aztecs as the next civ.
If chinese gets all useful techs they saved enough money for at least 1 full control group of chevaliers that can turn the tide. Good to know :) might try them, had them a few times in random civ, good to know a proper start for them now.
But the town center was there by then not just a lumber camp which was the only reason he walled them off to begin with. Once the TC was built it didnt matter if there were holes
Hi Hera. thnx for the vids. Really helpful. Learned my scout rushes from you. I'd like to see Goths next please coz a lot of people in low elos pick Goths and I'd love to know how to make them work for me.
you probably wont see this hera since this is an older video. but on team games, if one of the opponents goes mass SO and halbs, how do you deal with that with chinese?
are u playing all your games with the DE format? - cause many of us are still using the HD version (cause our computers are too damn old to cope with the new specs) -- or we cant be fucked to learn how to use win 8-10
What do you do Chinese v Britons? I loved this vid. I tried to put it all into practice. I even took better engagements with xbows at beginning. But britons just kept coming. Longbow and siege... it was hard...
I was always wondering why ci which actually invented gunpowder doesnt have access to it in game. I guess for the same reason we dont see polish civ and hussars all across the board.
They have bombard towers and Rocketry is a reference to gunpowder too, so it's not that innacurate actually (Cannon galleon are given to veryone so it doesn't really count). Back when ES did the game, the widespread cliché was that Chinese only used really primitive gunpowder, so I guess they assumed giving them all gunpowder was too much, and now with all the balance work that has been made it's too late to chnage that.
Yet they didn't invent anything remotely like hand cannons, they had something called "fire lance", basically a pole with firecrackers on the end that shoots out fire. If you really want to reflact on that, maybe give them an uniq unit that's a human fireship.
I really appreciated your video, but Chinese is a difficult civ to take for a beginner, would it be possible to do the same with a civ you consider easy to pick ?
Hey, are all the settings, tactics, costs, speed and everything the same on the *2013 edition, as in the definitive edition*? So is it just a visual update, or does the game fundamentally change? Thank you
How would any Mesoamerican civ deals with late game. They only have pike/helb and skirmisher for trash. There is no raiding potential with quick light cav.
Celts next please. Very powerful economy but bad archers and cav for arabia. Early imp transition into either onager/rams+halbs or woads is tricky but very powerful once you get going.

Quick walling, quick garrisoning, walling... Those are the most important things and yes, if by quick walling you mean traps and stuff then yea it's tricks and stunts.
I just can't believe it took hera so long to do chinese. Since they are the most tryhard civ
What do you mean, it took so long? This was the 3rd episode, calm down.
Persian and Mayan are just as "tryhard" so the order doesn't matter even with this criteria.
Great video, keep up the good work!
How did GoKu's scouts have +3 attack in the feudal age? Around @25:45
Been waiting for this! Thanks a lot :)
are you able to update these
Cheers man great content always worth a watch
So only one gold unit, one siege unit and trash as a meatshield?
What exactly do you do against meso civs with their eagle warriors at the beginning? This is like the only thing I personally struggle with as an beginner player.
And I would like to see Aztecs as the next civ.
Walls and probably man at arms
Since cav isn't exactly a counter and archers ain't either
I'm no high level but that's what I got
@@woodenbullets822 man ay arms will spend their time chasing the eagle warriors around while u lose vills
@@105tinoto wall in what u can
Can just leave some man at arms like u do with spears against scout
oh and 1v1 scouts beat eagles (no upgrades) in feudal but lose in dark
@@woodenbullets822 i dont think so
If chinese gets all useful techs they saved enough money for at least 1 full control group of chevaliers that can turn the tide. Good to know :) might try them, had them a few times in random civ, good to know a proper start for them now.
36:05 OMFG you just made a hole in the woodline, bottom right! soooo lucky he didnt notice!
But the town center was there by then not just a lumber camp which was the only reason he walled them off to begin with. Once the TC was built it didnt matter if there were holes
@@NowhereMan7 ah yes i see. lol im a dumb noob dont listen to me! :P
So You Want To Hear ASMR Chu Ko Nu Arrows
Hi Hera. thnx for the vids. Really helpful. Learned my scout rushes from you. I'd like to see Goths next please coz a lot of people in low elos pick Goths and I'd love to know how to make them work for me.
Why is it worth it transitioning from Arbelesque to ChoKoNu? Wouldnt you rather stay @crossbow and transition from there?
2 years ago Hera's Elo was 2100 ? And Goku 1600 ? Crazy how the general Elo increased until now.
you probably wont see this hera since this is an older video. but on team games, if one of the opponents goes mass SO and halbs, how do you deal with that with chinese?
@Hera, hey man, just a heads up that this vid is not in the playlist yet. Awesome content! Keep it up! Would love to see Aztecs or Vikings next!
ahh thanks so much will add it!
Very well made, thanks for this video Hera
Excellent video, Hera. You make it look easy to play Age. 11
This was great. Learned a lot. Even as a fairly experienced player! :D
Damn! The sheer speed you play at...i feel old :D
Nice teaching style, great video!
watching all of these in 1,5x
How to transition that fast between your vils and the scout?
Aztecs please. I always seem to lose to feudal pressure with heavy skirms (eagles create too slowly)
Anyone know if this is still up to date? What changes have been made since? Thanks!
Thanks for elaborating on how to play chinese! I like the civ, but just wasn't comfortable enough to play withit!
How do Britons and Ethiopians play against Chinese?
They seem to have a very similar tech tree but have higher range archers/siege.
are u playing all your games with the DE format?
- cause many of us are still using the HD version (cause our computers are too damn old to cope with the new specs)
-- or we cant be fucked to learn how to use win 8-10
I’d love to see you play Indians ... I just don’t know when to get camels ... shall I use them as knights.. or is it just very situational
What do you do Chinese v Britons? I loved this vid. I tried to put it all into practice. I even took better engagements with xbows at beginning. But britons just kept coming. Longbow and siege... it was hard...
try bringing skrim,knights and ram
Really educational. Best aoe content out there imo!
Back when ES did the game, the widespread cliché was that Chinese only used really primitive gunpowder, so I guess they assumed giving them all gunpowder was too much, and now with all the balance work that has been made it's too late to chnage that.
game logic: chinese invent gunpowder = they don’t get gunpowder units
Yet they didn't invent anything remotely like hand cannons, they had something called "fire lance", basically a pole with firecrackers on the end that shoots out fire. If you really want to reflact on that, maybe give them an uniq unit that's a human fireship.
> AoE III
Whats the lowest possible Idle TC time with chinese?
How to select all the castles at the same time?
Nice game, nice tutorial and nice explaining. I like it! Could you do the same with the malay?
I really appreciated your video, but Chinese is a difficult civ to take for a beginner, would it be possible to do the same with a civ you consider easy to pick ?
for example, I'm used to play with Magyards because it's easier to scout rush, but I'm sure there are much more possibilities than this one
just awesome
You sir, are amazing.
was really hoping u would go camels with the chu ko nu
Pro player: "I dont recommend Chinese for beginners."
Me: "hahaha chu ko nu go BRRRT"
Im a beginner and I picked Chinese help lol
@@kalv7444 I dunno I just go scouts into chukonu, but im not very good either
it's BEST CHinese play I was so impressed this game
Could we see a Slavs video?
Don't forget to like, and while you are at it, also subscribe.
I have not played this game for 10 years and god what have i missed. Also fk scout rush what a disgusting playstyle i'd be tilted 😂😂😂
I can't figure out why they didn't give the Chinese the Hwacha as a unit or the Singijeon to the Koreans. It would have been great.
Hey, are all the settings, tactics, costs, speed and everything the same on the *2013 edition, as in the definitive edition*? So is it just a visual update, or does the game fundamentally change? Thank you
When Archers, when Scouts?
What is the best trash unit civ right now?
How would any Mesoamerican civ deals with late game. They only have pike/helb and skirmisher for trash. There is no raiding potential with quick light cav.
Hey hera could you do a clunky civ like Khmer? Or Malay next?
Hey Hera, what is a good way to practice micro and macro?
practice practice practice
Celts next please. Very powerful economy but bad archers and cav for arabia. Early imp transition into either onager/rams+halbs or woads is tricky but very powerful once you get going.
