Vintage Car Collection in New Zealand

While in New Zealand for the holidays I decided to visit Southwards Car Museum. The largest collection of vehicles in New Zealand. 450!
This collection includes highlights such as
- Ferrari 750 Monza
- Mercedes 28/95 SS
- Maybach SW38

- Bugatti Type 57
- Worlds first electric car
- 1895 Benz (NZ’s first car)
- Redhead speedboat (Len Southwards)
- Indian motorcycles
- Maserati 250F

You HAVE to go to highlands car museum and racecourse in Queenstown! They have an Aston Martin Vulcan 1 of 24 in the world and lots of other supercars

The silver jet fighter is a Dehavilland Vampire. A UK jet aircraft used by Aust/British?NZ Air forces

What ever happened to the aircraft powered “Enterprise” land speed record car. It was funded by Fred H. Stewart and driven by famous race driver Wizard Smith. I think it set the 10 mile speed record. I know it is somewhere in New Zealand.

Been there multiple times, never get sick of it. I know your not into bikes but te papa the local museum in wellington has the britton bike. Designed built raced and won all by john britton. Amazing history
