You really do have to make sure you are going to get value for money on any drinks package, and Cunards isn't cheap, it's great, but not cheap. Taking a few bottles of wine though sounds like the perfect though. Have a lovely cruise, Linzi & Mark
Great video guys, I was in to minds over the drinks package as it seemed expensive but compared to what you don’t get on P&O the Cunard is great value. I’ve only just found your vlogs but now I’ve subscribed I won’t miss any 😎😎😎
Thanks Ray for watching and of course subscribing too. You are right, at first glance it does seem a.bit more expensive on Cunard than P&O but value for money wise, right now, Cunard is much better as far we personally found and we could pretty much have anything we fancied throughout with th exception of a couple of the special gala night cocktails. we will absolutely get the Cunard drinks package on our next Cunard cruise. Thanks again for watching and taking time to comment Ray. Have a lovely day. Linzi and Mark
I just booked on the Queen Victoria and I was trying to decide about this package because it seems incredibly expensive and you helped make up my mind. I think I will try it once because I’m usually kind of chintzy with myself ordering drinks with dinner and saw this so the package will make me order them if I feel like it and not worry about the price so much.
We are so pleased this has helped with deciding on the drinks package. Cunard's is one of the more expensive, but in many ways one of the best value as there is so much choice as part of it. We are on a cruise at the moment with P&O and didn't take the package even though it's much cheaper than Cunard's as you are so limited in choice in comparison. Have a fantastic cruise when you get on QV. Have a lovely day, Linzi and Mark
I think this is out-of-date now as I do believe you can get the package on a 4-nighter. Also, some champagnes are included up to the 13.50 dollars and it's not limited to Prosecco. I am willing to be corrected if I've got this wrong.
Thank you Phyllis, It could well be out of dates in bits as the cruise lines constantly change bits that are included and not. We will do an updated version when we go on Queen Anne later in the year.
Although....you did contradict yourself when narrating. You stated that the drinks package was "available on sailings of 4 nights or more... so in other words, sailings of 5 nights or more.." 🤔 4 nights, or more, includes sailings of 4 nights.... 👍🏻
I’m due to go on a cunard cruise in a week’s time (can’t wait). Just wondering about the drinks package - it’s up to $12 per drink, but is that the cost of the spirit and the mixer combined, or just the spirit? Just afraid to order a double and be charged for it as it would go over the limit
Hi Christopher, oh less than a week to go now. Have an amazing cruise. On the drinks package, if we recall they've increased the per drink to $13 now, but package is for the spirit + mixer. That will get you some double spirts, depending on your mixer, for instance if you are having a bourbon and a splash of coke, that will be under, but if you wanted a fancy Gin with a fancy tonic (as a double) that would take you over. The vast majority of cocktails were included, and we didn't pay for anything on our drinks package. Most of the cocktails have two or more spirits in them too, plus mixers. It will be purely if you are going for one of the examples above you might struggle to stay under although you can always get a single and mixer, and then a few minutes later another single, standalone spirit? Bit faffy, but it would work. Hope this helps, and as we said, have an amazing cruise. Linzi & Mark
Thanks Geoff. As far as we recall no, there is no champagne including within either the drinks package price or the wine packages either. There were some sparkling wines/Prosecco that fell into the drinks package limit but the rest was above it meaning you pay for it less a 20% discount.
Thank you Michael. And we did. You’ll see much more of it in the upcoming videos but it really surprised us how much we enjoyed Queen Elizabeth. Linzi and Mark
The choice of drinks looks vast but it does seem a bit pricey. I have sailed with Princess on their Princess Plus rate ex-Southampton and it was £35 per person per night higher fare basis. This included free wifi, gratuities and the alcoholic drinks package but they limit you to fifteen alcoholic drinks per day. $12 max individual drink limit and bottles of wine were discounted as not in the deal. This seems very good value. I have sailed with Cunard fifty eight years to date and think I will try Queen Anne next.

It is at the Carnival cruise style. No dance host, no queens room Hostess, no professional dancer exhibition, etc. will not recommend for this price ( we are diamond on Cunard, not a newbie)
That is a really interesting take from an experienced Cunard cruiser. Whilst we are experienced cruisers as a whole, we are still new to Cunard. Because we had no previous experienced of the Dance or Queens Room hosts, or professional dancer exhibitions, then we couldn't compare. The food, certainly on our trip was good throughout, as was the service. Lido was a bit average to be fair compared to more modern alternatives such as Celebrity or Virgin. We did notice that a bit of ship work needed some TLC, but other than that we can't say much, as unlike you, we have little Cunard experience from years gone by. Hopefully, there will be an improvement with Queen Anne in a few years, and maybe the other ships getting a bit of an overall? Maybe. Thanks for commenting, and have a lovely day. Linzi & Mark

SWEET - tough job trying every cocktail on Cunard tick - that about 5 decent cocktails a day - in nice London hotels cocktails can be easy 20 -30 pounds each now - are you given a card with credits how does it work -
Hi Tony. No credits on cards or anything. The package is attached to stateroom so anytime they scan your cabin card they can see the package.
