  • I have been meaning to create something specifically for movement in still photography. This is a compilation of a few different shoots as well as some inspiration / references to photography that encompasses movement in a beautiful way. As well as, of course, some of my own tips on how to photograph with it technically and subject / composition-wise. As always thank you so much for your support and watching, MOOREE VIIDSS TO COOMME!

    I started taking sharpness out of some of my snaps a year ago - even to the extent of going totally blurry. So much interesting stuff suddenly occurred within the frame. The effect can sometimes be such an amazing contribution to the story you want to tell. Don’t know if it’s a kind of antidote to what the gear can manage these days, or just the creative curiosity to explore - but I totally get you! Btw keep going with the channel, it’s because it’s different that I started following! Really dig u guys!

    Elle, it’s short and to the point and makes me want to go and try it out for myself so in my opinion you are doing GREAT with communicating what you do!
    One thing i would love is better sound, maybe moving the mic closer to you would do the trick ✌🏻

    Love the whole vibe of this video. You, your work - wonderful! Thx for sharing. I’ve been meaning to do more slow shutter shots so I’ll def try on my next wedding shoot. Movement and blur brings in so much more emotion :)

    Hey Elle-May, the bottom left photo with the gentleman taking a mirror photo is Sammy Davis Jr. an amazing singer + entertainer. I noticed you had it as unknown.
    The tutorial was great and loved learning something new!

    Loved this video! So interesting getting a glimpse into the way that you shoot. I'm going to definitely try and incorporate more slow-shutter images and movement into my shoots in the future. Also, I think all creatives can relate to the ups and downs when it comes to inspiration and motivation, and you also don't have to be a perfect "teacher". It's so interesting just hearing you speak about your process!

    How you get with edit so cool vintage soft look on BW video?

  • @dhinas9444
    @dhinas9444 3 года назад

    So it is exactly 1:43 into the video; I had to stop because I fell in love with the visuals. Not gonna mention names, but when a certain Meter PcKinnon makes a video, it is always cold, fast energetic. In contrast, these videos are slow, chill and they hug your heart and let you enjoy the moment. The music, and everything, OHgooooood, where was this channel all along?!

    Big fan of your vibe and the photos you curate. Question for you - did you ever worry about ticks or Lyme disease, when shooting in grassy settings? Such as the ones used in this video. Cheers.

    • @1924us
      @1924us  4 года назад +1

      Hey Mike, no actually I never even thought about ticks! I think about snakes a little more haha but I kind of just blank it out to get the shot ;)

      Elle-May Watson Ah cool, thanks for the response. If you are in the United States be careful, Lyme disease is life changing, in a bad way!

    Manual mode is great in a lot of situations. This video recaps what the manual says about the different modes, and adds nothing.
