Should have edited that out. I don't know how bikers manage to stay on the road if they don't counter steer. I learned to do it pretty early on in my biking career. I also found with the VFR it handles a lot better if you drop it down a gear before cornering, something to do with rotational mass or gyroscopic effect of the engine making it turn in better. Has your bike been fitted with bar risers as it looks as if it has?
@@vfourcruza7744 Had a closer look in one of your other vids and yes they are. Sorry didn't know why I thought they were risers. Sorry had to mention the ped crossing one as that is a def no-no like crossing double white lines.
Not to detract from your excellent vids, but isn't counter-steering something that comes naturally when you start cycling or motorcycling. I remember counter-steering when I was 8 years old on my Raleigh. If you try steering a bike by turning the bars in the direction you want to go, you'll soon end up with some serious road rash. When turning left you push the bars clockwise. If you want to turn more you push some more. If you want to straighten up you push the other way. This all comes naturally. It doesn't have to be learned.
You'd thing that but I've learned that to some it doesn't. I've asked riders whilst riding via intercom and watching them ride. It's the reason for this video actually, seeing other riders struggle to quickly turn a bike when it matters and then having them give me the explanation that they tried to pull the bike over but it wouldn't go in time prompted me to explain counter steering to them and they were very thankful.
