    The man is intolerant of differing politics, view points and ideas.
    "I debate Tories all the time" 5 mins a day on Twitter then back in the echo chamber-because thats what he is saying, his circle of friends are an echo chamber.

      i think this comes down to the crux of the problem, with many left leaning commentators and activists, in that they are completely blind to the other side of the argument against them---it seems strange even to me that the Tories, have a MUCH wider pool of support across all social ,class,and financial groups,they really seem to understand voter concerns that affect us day to day.
      definitely not perfect, but picking your battles in the middle ground instead of the left buffer/protest ground has proven to have voter appeal this time round

And their sense of self righteousness, and vitriolic belief in their agenda, is why people are turning away from the Left in Droves. But their arrogance denies them the clarity to understand why, hence why they persistently play the victim, and blame everybody else but themselves for their own failings. Its like the opposite of Stockholm syndrome, refusing to understand why you are wrong, and why others disagree with your beliefs.

      @planejoe5263 5 лет назад +15

      Fun fact: The Guardian cannot function without massive injections of cash from shady NGOs; i.e. billionaires wanting to push agendas with their tax-deduction donations. These 'journalists' will be the very last people that need to learn to code. I believe that there should be a law that forces the 'news' media to colour code articles, and make declarations at the start of segments, if the story they are presenting does more than present facts, takes a partisan view, or is an opinion piece. There should be hefty fines for those caught breaking this law, and retractions should be pinned to the top of the front page, above the title of the publication, or read out before the introduction to the broadcast. People would soon be able to separate real journalism from propaganda, and disreputable rags and spin merchants would soon find that they can no longer practice deception under the guise of informing.

      my old boss was a self declared tory, he was a decent guy and although i didnt always agree with his views i could say the exact same about a labour voter and it makes neither one of them a lesser person, personally i think the whole thing is just a sham and an illusion of choice so that the little people think they have a say in things but i dont judge someone based on their views because that would be idiotic if not only for the reason that when i met someone new id have to ask them their political stance in order to decide whether i can be their friend or not - imagine being friends with someone and finding out years later that you dont like how they vote, awkward

He had never met a Tory and I had never met a working class person before. He called my mother Mrs Thatcher, meant as an insult but she was thrilled to bits.
    In those days left wingers didn't judge tories as they hadn't been conditioned by schools or colleges.
    Both of us said years later our friendship, because we worked together, taught us more about the world we lived in than anything else, as we both saw a world we knew nothing about or understood.
