Unlike Pia, who got a lot of boyfriends during her reign, and Catriona, who used Children's poverty just to add to her resume after winning Bb. pilipinas.. even though she not even bother before..
she has the class, the poise and what it takes to be miss universe 1999. the only thing that didnt make her win, because she stuttered when she answered the final question, but her answers were great though. she gave her best.
I don't know if there was a typographical error but one of the score of Ms. Philippines during the interview, Maccioni scored only 2.0 and that is the lowest score I've ever seen in an International Pageant.
Only one judge wanted Botswana to win. It was the boxer Holyfield. His scores were outrageously high in all portions. Only one person didn't want Philippines to win. Seymour. Her scores for her were ridiculously low. Philippines answer in Q&A was more real. Botswana's answer was pretentious. Botswana said a reigning Miss MU should not step down if she got pregnant. In the real world, the first runner.up will sue her for getting pregnant and not stepping down and the MUO for Breach of Contract. Philippines was robbed here and that's for sure.
Duh...Miss Botswana!s response is brave since it's impossible for the reigning winner to continue her duty when she's pregnant..She didn't mind at all to express her opinion and that's very impressive enough for the judged

It should have been her coz her answer is still substantial its all about her delivery that time. During her time they also took into consideration the confidence in delivering if only she didnt choke and delivered it smoothly it could have been her and that is where Bostwana took the lead. Mpule without batting of an eyelash she delivered her answer smoothly.

Miriam Quiambao is elegance and grace personified. A better answer to her interview question would definitely have clinched her the crown; but it wasn’t meant to be. I don't know if there was a typographical error but one of the score of Ms. Philippines during the interview, Maccioni scored only 2.0 and that is the lowest score I've ever seen in an International Pageant.

Only one judge wanted Botswana to win. It was the boxer Holyfield. His scores were outrageously high in all portions. Only one person didn't want Philippines to win. Seymour. Her scores for her were ridiculously low. Philippines answer in Q&A was more real. Botswana's answer was pretentious. Botswana said a reigning Miss MU should not step down if she got pregnant. In the real world, the first runner.up will sue her for getting pregnant and not stepping down and the MUO for Breach of Contract. Philippines was robbed here and that's for sure.
Duh...Miss Botswana!s response is brave since it's impossible for the reigning winner to continue her duty when she's pregnant..She didn't mind at all to express her opinion and that's very impressive enough for the judged
I don’t think it was pretentious. She won because it was the best answer. I love Philippines but Botswana stole hearts that year. Don’t take it away from her.
