This guy is definitely one of the best dance music DJ around and probably THE best he deserves respect if not acclaim and hands in the air. I don't know why would anyone hate him.
Yeah right, all people here trying to enjoy a mix and then see what people their thoughts are have to read a bunch of offensive language first before they find a decent comment.
Haters go watching the Live perfomance of Laidback Luke show Like UMF and Tomorrowland and sensation ; this the Master of decks is Jackie chan of Djiiing ; Real Fans of real djiing respect LBL so much
I don't know why everyone is shitting on him in the comments. This is fucking incredible mixing. Shows there still are some DJs who know how to do more than play prerecorded sets
I tried this set out today for a few hours at Pioneer, amazing piece of equipment. I miss it so much, which is the reason why I'm watching this right now apparently.
TRACKLIST: 1. Laidback Luke feat. Jonathan Mendelsohn - Timebomb 2. Laidback Luke feat. Wynter Gordon - Speak Up 3. Laidback Luke - My G*O*D* 4. Avesta & B Valley - Dutchano (Laidback Luke Edit) 5. Steve Aoki & Laidback Luke feat. Lil Jon - Turbulence 6. Laidback Luke & Angger Dimas feat. Polina - Night Like This
woooow atleast the new players have one good thing: they make the old ones less expensive. what pioneer already made is incredible. big respect to them!
Laidback Luke is one of the best djs in the world, this video shows an immense amount of skill and music knowledge. Obviously it sounds very special because its a promotional video for the hardware.
Guus de Bakker So, you say that you can also set up a playlist with nice music and press play is enough to fill clubs with thousends op people :') stfu
Love it, it's crazy how he is using all four decks and mixing everything. Only things I have to say is that I still haven't made the switch from digital. I love my laptop... -DJ G
I loved this because it was different and very risky. He is one of the few EDM DJs that will actually scratch to a tune and do a mega mix using more than your average number of songs.
***** its about it all now a day really even beatmatching.. yea a decide amount of dj do use sync but those are usually the ones who became famous from they're songs and than have to learn how to Mix and beatmatch and everything else in a short amount of time and so they get use to using sync which its kinda gay but w.e and than you got dj's who became famous more because of they're mixing and being about to basically remix live and do all that fx track selection and play a ton of songs in a short amount of time but can still do it with out using sync. so its really just a huge mix between legit DJ's and Producers all depends on how they got into the music industry. lol pretty fucked tbh :)
It's a demo: he's showing off the capabilities of the hardware. It's not meant to have the same flow or cohesion as a set. It's basically an advertisement without words. Pioneer does this alot and they seem to like Laidback Luke
Thank you for finally doing the laidback luke robot dance at the end! I was waiting for it! I got kicked out of your show in Madison cuz I sprayed a water bottle :/
Lets keep it clean then... Dj's should not use Sync button. - You are a Dj, not programer or even user of such kind or programs. Simply - Are you talented enough to be Dj / or not? See it for yourself - but on TURNTABLES ;)
Milos Mladenovic aff technology is to be used like it or not, the important thing is the sound quality and more if you can make the switch to music without using the sync is even better
I mean I get where you’re coming from, but it’s not LL’s fault. Pioneer told him to “showcase the quantize” and that’s what resulted in all the weird button mashing which made it sound bad. Otherwise LL is an absolute mad lad DJ
Paul Lindquist yes usually he is a really good dj, in my mind too ! but in this mix, cmon. just listen to the first minute.. wth is that ? the failed looping at the beginning, than the delay is ok. the pitch down effect also. than the failed looping again. than wtf at : 1:24 he slows down the track + pitch .. does this sound good in your ears cmon ?? let's wait. i'll open up a channel, not under this name but i can send you a private message when i'm finished. but first i will finish the aftermovie of a party a were so that's the perfect start for my channel. and there you can see my mixing skills. he is better than me, that's logic but not in this mixing. for me this mix sounds like i am hanging with some dj friends and just loling around a little bit.
BELGIUMBritish009 I know that he is the better DJ :p but sry if I don't like this mix. I know his skills and bla bla bla and he mixes awesome but in this mix he just Lol's around with the new things. I don't say it's that bad but usually a DJ mixes like that when he is having fun with some friends, but why upload this to RUclips ?? :) Cheers
That's Slip Mode and some combination of Forward/Reverse play. When the wheel stopped spinning he let off the direction switch. Watch his other hand, he's holding it down during the backspin, then let it off on the downbeat. Instant return to where the song would have been if played normally. Check out some of the other 2000nexus videos that talk about slip mode.
Why do people hate on a sync button? It lets you do so many more things instead of beat matching you can hit a button and bam your there. Not that you shouldn't know how to beat match but when in a quick mix a sync button really helps out.
I've got a friend that uses Serato and he's the one that pointed it out to me. Anytime those guys start hearing the beat slip, they adjust the pitch fader while watching the Serato waveform screen. The wider transients in the display will signal your bass beats. I do agree with you though that sync alone does not line up two separate tracks properly; you need a human ear for that.
hey!!!!!! this goes for everyone who says laidback luke and the mix is bad. First this isnt a mix is a performance, if you doesnt know the difference here it is, this was created to show all the new capacities of the cdj 2000 nexus, not for dancing or something else, thats why its to short, and if it sounds bad to you just remember this is a performance not a concert, not a mix,
LL is an awesome dj, sure he makes some mistakes but that is because he doesn't bring a pre recorded set like guetta. He just gets up there and does whatever he thinks will work and clearly it is working for him cause he is far more successful than you will ever be!
You're so right, anyways he created this mix, they think they are experts because they can replicate it. Anyone can copy material, but it takes a remarkable DJ to produce it.
Yea I think this was an example but man those things are sweet! I see where the ddj-sx get there look from now. This looks like inside of a dj space ship lol .. tight!
we all know laidback luke can mix like a god but this video is just to showcase all the effects o the new CDJ 2000 as in the effects and stuff like that
I agree with the sync everyone can be a dj in a way but not everyone on can be a good one. Sync or not you still have to be able to do the other aspects of djing like mic skills and detecting what the crowd wanna hear
Laidback Luke is a very good technical DJ. I think this video is just displaying his talents as well as the CDJ's. I for sure wouldn't play this mix at a party lol
Laidback Luke should be respected because of his talent and creative potential, and what he has done for the scene. Not for what gigs he has or how much money he has. Focus on the music and the art, not the rewards.
I just upgraded yesterday from a Traktor Kontrol S2 to 2 CDJ 2000 Nexuses, and a DJM 900, and the biggest issue with me was just relearning the controls on new gear. If you have the skills and actually know what you're doing, then it is not hard at all.
I like the new machinery...if not necessarily what he's playing. Is this the "cutting edge" of dance music? This is what gets 6 figure per set paydays in Vegas?
or maybe they recorded multiple times so that they could pick the best shots to use for the video. and they happened to include one where he changes the knob quicker or something. i dont know for a fact but it seems i like good explanation. He is more than capable of doing this all in one take. He did an hour mix for dj sounds with some of the same track and it was almost perfect.
This guy is definitely one of the best dance music DJ around and probably THE best he deserves respect if not acclaim and hands in the air. I don't know why would anyone hate him.
Please keep it clean guys, all comments using offensive langue will be removed. Thank you.
so much good
TRACK LIST PLEASE
Yeah right, all people here trying to enjoy a mix and then see what people their thoughts are have to read a bunch of offensive language first before they find a decent comment.
Pioneer DJ Go fuck yourself

Luke's energy behind the decks is incredible! absolutely jaw dropping
WOW! He's producing and creating songs on the fly! Amazing! Thanks for making this possible Pioneer. You have really outdone yourself! Great job Luke!

The only DJ I know to use earphones while doing a set.👍🔥
u ever heard of james hype?
@@thomasengel6598 james hype came after laidback luke. the technics he uses are shown in this video minus the scratching.
guys he showing the capabilities of the cdj-2000 nexus, chill

THIS GUY- my absolute idol
Laidback Luke is one of the best djs in the world, this video shows an immense amount of skill and music knowledge. Obviously it sounds very special because its a promotional video for the hardware.
Laidback luke simply amazing always something new
He's got skills on the CDJ's! Mad creative when mashing up tracks together. Can't see why people would be hating on him.
DJ'ing is not about NOT-syncing, but about your performance. It isn't hard to beatmatch, it's hard to amuse every crowd. but you guys don't know that.
Guus de Bakker So, you say that you can also set up a playlist with nice music and press play is enough to fill clubs with thousends op people :') stfu
+Guus de Bakker he only shows what you can do with a CDJ-2000.
+Lennard Radtke (Lenman) isaac
Guus de Bakker I
@@MRKosmosTV he didn't say that at all. learn to read. or learn the concept of a "strawman" fallacy. or more likely both.
This is one of the best DJ's in this world, Sander Van Doorn !!! Enjoy !!
This guy has tha skills for real! Keep it Luke.

The King! :)

the best Filipino DJ ever :)
so rad. so much you can do with the sync and master function
I LIKE HOW HE IS USING AN EARBUD wahahaha
Leftfield's DJ Paul Daley used to use one.
I love Laidback Luke I'm a HUUUUUUGE FAN! HE'S AWESOOME!!!
All thats going through he head "LOOP EVERYTHING"
never knew laidback luke could scratch. Never seen him though, just wouldn't have expected it
hay que tener brazos y buen oído para manejar una pioneer así jaja
among all cdj walkthroughs this one's the BEST!
what song 2:54⁇?
+平山大 Avesta & B Valley - Dutchano (Laidback Luke Edit)
This is a feature demo.. this isn't how he usually mixes.. seen him live and it was the best set I have seen to date!
Did he just press Sync? 0:25
lol
no, he prepared his tracks with the right tempo before the "show"
Sync*
there isn´t a sync knob on the cdj2000n ;)
@@beising ofc there is
Unbeliveble!!! its nearly impossible to do what he is doing with no mistakes and doing it so perfectly!!!
You know someone is horrible at mixing when you give them more features to use + sync and they just sound even worse then they did before.
*****
He doesn't do a good job.

just in case you didn't find it yet... it's laidback luke feat. wynter gordon- Speak up original mix
And they said pro's don't use Sync!
embrace the technology. its works well and delivers a better result to the audience
He's only using sync to show the new features of these equipment... look any set on pioneer dj sounds show of laidback luke. He doesn't use sync :D

Oooh dear god! Such an omni-control over all of his set-up!

It doesn't matter if he doesn't do it all the time and that was a demo of wt it could do
Who cares dog, all that matters is that it sounds good
+Milos Mladenovic Agreed but it's also a Pioneer DJ video where they probably want all of the capabilities of the equipment showcased including sync
Lol he still performed just as good without sync. Maybe dont judge a book with its cover. ruclips.net/video/ZwiUlhOyjyI/видео.html

and it's called music ?
grande dj real en vivo 🔊💯👌🏻
Some of you who are commenting "awful mix" a mix is never 100% on cue and good. He's demonstrating all the things a 2000 Nexus can do.
And Laidback Luke is a turntable genius! Have any of you haters heard a live set? He wrecks it
The art of mixing.
hey man he is just demonstrating the CDJ-2000 nexus so relax
very nice my man i like the pioneer 2000 nice job
