Limited Run Games’ latest retro re-release is right up my alley, and these 90's era Jurassic video games have never looked better. The fantastic assemblage of 8-bit and 16-bit titles offers smooth controls, vibrant visuals and crips sound just like you remember across 7 different Nintendo and Sega games:

I cant believe I was able to go throught those game at 7 year old and finishing them.... I got rampage when it came out, my grandma bought it for me. It was sooo fun.....
You beat three when you were 7!?! I’m legit impressed. Look how much I struggle as a full grown man 😂.
@@CollectJurassic I would probably struggle as much today tbh. I still have ptsd for the river stage as well as the volcano and the sewers 😭😭😭 I was playing those all the time back in the day
I wouldn't even be surprised if my parents still got the notebook with all those passwords.... They keep everything
I picked it up yesterday and I thought my skills would be better at 30 than they were when I was a kid. I was so wrong. With the save and rewind, I hope to actually beat one.
After watching entire video I've never seen someone struggle with such simple tasks
I like how he was like “I played these a lot as a kid” but he struggles so hard
LoL bro those games were brutal AF back in the day. Terrible controls but it was all we had so we enjoyed it so much. Modern day gaming is amazing
@@81ironmonk they were brutal. We had a ton of games on the NES and they were so relentless
There is a whole generation that grew up with automatic "cinematic games" that started to pop up in the PS3 gen so they gonna have a hard time with this.
@@RandoLePerson that's exactly what I'm at, the jp1 SNES escape the island game... Watching this made me cringe, the rest was absolutely atrocious
I purchased a digital copy yesterday for Switch and really enjoying JP on SNES and the first Genesis game. A few things to note on JP (SNES) the red cross on med kits was colored green do not to tick off Red Cross, characters faces were removed from the messages that pop up on screen and references to Kenner toys were removed, despite all of this the game is still fun.

Red Cross on the Genesis games has also been replaced, with a blue letter H.
In the NES game you get into the buildings with key cards that you can only attain by collecting all of the eggs in each area. Once inside you access computer terminals to either open gates or finish some levels. Rinse and repeat. It can get tediously time consuming. Still got fond memories of playing this as a kid back then. I still own the cartridge, in fact.
Totally going back to try this tonight!
@CollectJurassic I got one question to ask you on Jurassic Park for the SNES Why is there 2 T-Rex in the Game for the SNES The first T-Rex is near the forest with that letter E On the ground. And the other T-Rex is in the east forest But I'm Totally confused Why is there two of them in the game?
@@turok4977 I’ll give an easy answer for you. You might not believe this but in game logic they are meant to be the same T.Rex that apparently teleports into either one of the two locations off-screen whenever Grant happens to occupy them. So they’re purely an in-game mechanism in two spots of the map to create a one-hit kill obstacle for the player to avoid.
Either that, or you can just pretend that they’re the equivalent of Buck and Doe from TLW. :p
@Dinoslay Well, you are not going to believe this. I saw this online of jurassic Park Super nintendo gamebox and on the back of the box Of a screenshot That it shows you that you are being chased by a T-Rex And I saw a glimpse of the visitor center Sidewalk on the screenshot on the back of the box. Why did I make a screenshot like that? Because that does not even happen in the game. Where the T-Rex While passing through the visitor center. That does not even happen in the game But I saw it as a screenshot On the back of the box. Trust me you got to believe me.
@Dinoslay Dude, you're not going to believe this. I had an old nintendo Power magazine, but I forgot what issue it was. It had jurassic Park for the SNES, and it had walked through. And the map and everything, and it showed me a screenshot of the T-Rex Chasing you while passing through the visitor center. Crazy right. I saw it with my own eyes as a screenshot.
Oh man!! All the early promos didn't include the Genesis games! I'm sooooo stoked that they inlcuded them!! Asked my family back in the USA to send me a copy to JAPAN for my Switch :)
Yeah, they added the Sega games after the fact! And I’m so glad they did.
It's also available digitally in the Japanese and American eshop, unless you really really want the physical copy

As a kid i remember the one on gameboy. The soundtrack was amazing 👌
Rampage is 💯 worth the purchase price, for the Raptor Barrel Roll, alone.
Accurate! Rampage Edition is the main attraction here, as you can see in my video it was what I wanted to play the most!
I remember finishing the Jurassic Park for SNES... it took me 8 and half hours.
The ending was terrible, but the graphics and music are still great, so I'm still happy and proud I made it.
The iconic "SEGA" yelling T-rex logo sequences were removed (Genesis and Rampage). Like wthck is it with purchasing retro games that are missing content?
I was 12 yo when i got rampage edition i sent my dad to gamestore to pick up the original jurassicpark game but he brought this instead, at first i was disappointed to find out it being a completely different game from what i was expecting, but I loved it later on enough to be able finish it, it was easier compare to the other one. from that framerate to all of that batshit crazy stuff completely blew my mind. Good times.
Later on I played the snes ones I could never finish the first one and the chaos continous was hard and kinda boring but I still got through it with cheats
Wait a minute ... Where's Jurassic park the lost world sega genesis on this collection? That's the one i played the most!
Wish theyd added the sega master system game. And the lost world for genesis would be a cool bonus game. Theyll be lost to time now.
How did they not include the Game Gear game? It's so good! Used to play it on road trips when I was a kid.
You didn’t play the first person shooter segments in the Snes version. that technically is the first first person shooter on Council!

When this thing is on sale, it’ll be worth it. All the “Jurassic Park 2” games were made before THE LOST WORLD was ever written. I still love the SNES Jurassic Park the most. Then The Rampage Edition for SEGA Genesis. Lastly, The Chaos Continues, which was made by the same developers who made ALIEN 3 and its literally a reskinned version but Jurassic Park.
This collection would be even better if it had Jurassic Park on PC DOS and Amiga
Ah well, they can’t have everything! Pretty happy with what they managed to squeeze into this one.

@CollectJurassic This is what I don't understand about Jurassic Park, the 1st one for the SNES Why is there two T rex in the Game? And yes you go to the east forest you'll get a message Saying that Alan Be careful Around the blind corners T rex is FREE!!!! A long time ago I had an old nintendo power magazine And It showed Jurassic Park SNES Where the t rex is chasing In front of the Visitor center I saw it in a Old nintendo power magazine as a screenshot!!!! One more thing If you use the game genie code called Walk through walls on Jurassic Park for the SNES Go to the east forest And go inside the gate And if you go where the T rex will come out If you keep going inside The trees With the game genecode called walk through wall You are actually fall into invisible Wall of water If used the Game genie code called walk through walls.
@@CollectJurassic I mean we are talking KBs or MBs at most, but they would have to pay to license the Amiga bios and kick roms if they included the Amiga game so I can definitely understand that one.
JP RAMPAGE EDITION sure is the best overall.

I been following the announcement of this JP Collection and when i saw the game on Xbox immediately tried to buy it only to learn it's only for Series S/X... no Xbox One. Weird move, the game is even available for Switch and PS4.
Must be harder to double develop between generations. That or Microsoft incentivizes developing for the new consoles only - gotta get people to upgrade!
@@CollectJurassic The way i understand it is that any game Developed for Xbox One should work right out of the box for Xbox Series. I think this must had been either MS or the developer choice. There's like 60M Xbox One consoles out there while not even 20M Series ones. Just a dumb move overall.

I can’t exit the overlay menu on Ps5 by pressing circle to go back, does anyone know how to make it go away so you can keep playing without having to quit and start again?
So the conversation blurbs in the SNES JP have the characters faces greyed out... Anybody know if that’s a glitch, or if it’s intentional due to copyright/legal issues? I’m assuming it’s the latter…
I remember Jurassic Park games on the SNES that my cousins probably used to own it or them forgot how many. But the past systems in this compilation game set are they all NES SNES Game Boy and Sega Genesis?
Has the release been patched since you uploaded this video? The red cross pickups have been replaced with blue letter 'H' pickups in the Genesis games for me, while your video still has the red cross ones.
Edit: I'm on PS4.

They need to add the arcade game the Sega CD game the game gear game and the PC game As dlc!
Limited run games's CEO said to me on Twitter that they wanted to put the arcade game in but they didn't have the tech to do so

The only thing from this collection that’s missing for me is the Sega CD game. Otherwise this is perfect nostalgia for me!

I was expecting to see Jurassic Park Arcade from 1994 but sadly they didn’t added, or The Lost World from 1997
Let's not say these standard games have never looked better. They looked better in the 90s on a CRT. It is a shame they didn't include the Arcade games here as those are great looking games and would easily run on Switch.

They should have an emulator overclock option at least but a lot of games are hard wired to the stock CPU frequency.

30 bucks seems a bit steep to me. I added it to my steam wishlist but waiting for it to hit 20 or less.

Sound emulation has issues. Guns have wrong sound in The Chaos Continues. Where’s the fucking maps in The Chaos Continues? All games need more resolution options. Full screen is like playing the game in a vertical iPhone video.
