Shanghai, one of the four municipalities in China, is the home of 小笼包 (xiao long bao - soup dumplings). While the soup dumplings in Xi'an tasted savoury, these OG 小笼包 in Shanghai tasted slightly sweeter. We were there during the crossing of the New Year from 2023 to 2024 so it was EXTREMELY crowded.
