I'm Brazilian and your explanation of what cumha means makes me think of the Portuguese word "saudade". Really think it is the same. So cool to finally know another language that puts a name to that feeling

Hi Molly. I understand almost every word you say now. Practice makes perfect. I used to thing the ulster dialect was so difficult but after listening to you and others speaking it for a while I am starting to be able to understand what people are saying pretty well. Thanks for all your help.

Hi Molly, Just wondering if you might be able to help.
My father passed away in January and I am in the process of organising a stone mason for his monument.
We are originally from Galway and emigrated to Australia in 1982. I was 8yo and didn’t get the chance to carry on learning to speak Gaelic. Dad was able to speak Irish well.
I have the following two sentences which I would like to use as inscriptions on the monument and I’m wondering if you could look and let me know if I have it correct? Or if it could be improved?
    Thank you!
Agus go mbuailimid le chéile arís. Go gcoinní Dia mbos A láimhe thú

I literally was thinking about this channel today when singing along with the wolfe tones. Bizzare to see an upload. Happens a lot, is RUclips reading my mind? 🤔Maybe consider translating and explaining the classic Gaelic verses of foggy dew, oh ro something something and other pieces of my missing ancestry.in song form. I want to sing along but mumble the words!

Me encantaría aprender Irlandés.

Go raibh maith agat as d'obair ar RUclips. Baineann mé sult as do chuid fhiseain anseo. Bhí mé staidéar a dhéanamh ar an nGaeilge agus níl mé athas le mo dhul chun cinn i gcomparaid le mo Spainis. He hablado el Español por unos 50 años, y lo aprendi cuando tenia 17 años. Lo aprendí en tres meses. Tengo frustración enorme con el Gaelico porque no puedo tener un "break through" como tenía cuando estaba aprendiendo el Españo. Gracias por tu ayuda. Thosaigh mé an nGaeilge a fhoghlaim in Oideas Gael i 2010.

Tá tú an chróga ceist na meabhairshláinte a chur chun chinn ar thús an fhíseáin seo. Tá sé deacair a rá “Níl mé ró mhaith anois”. Ach is é sin an saol - agus nuair a dheireann duine le meas aici, mar tusa, é seo, go macánta agus go díreach, tá sé cabhrach dúinn
