Saw Deep Purple over twenty times; Gillan more than fifteen times, Rainbow some six or seven times, Whitesnake seven times and Ian Paice with Gary Moore five times. Never will there come a day when I would disregard Deep Purple. Never ever. I've seen Black Sabbath. I've watched Led Zeppelin. I've regarded Uriah Heep. I've listed to Genesis; Jethro Tull, Yes, Lou Reed, Frank Zappa; Status Quo, Manowar, Neil Young. But there's no-one like Deep Purple, believe me. And sadly, there's no-one like Jon Lord.
Yes man. This song is some kind of "Heavy Metal blueprint": fast guitars and drumming, high pitched vocals. But actually, i never see anyone talk about this god-like song.
This is just sensational...what a great live performance by every single musician on stage including the orchestra... Gillan hitting all the right notes...and superb solo from Airey and Morse...10/10.
Hard Lovin' Man (LIVE 2011 MONTREUX) Deep Purple 2011 (Mark VII): Don Airey - Organ, Keyboards Roger Glover - Bass Steve Morse - Guitar Ian Gillan - Vocals Ian Paice - Drums
They say fighting is a young mans game. This is more spectacle than anything else. 'In Rock' was a long ass time ago. Historic record for heavy rock. Sir Ians chops are gone. Let it rest. Don't spoil your legacy..
Largely yes he has, but alot of guys that age are going to struggle to reproduce their youthful style of decades passed. Deep Purple has recorded some great albums the last 20 years, adopting a slightly less demanding style for Gillan.Saw them live in 2005, and Gillan nailed Highway Star, Perfect Strangers, Lazy, etc. Saw them again in 2018, and Gillan did struggle in places on Fireball and a few other tracks. The band was still brilliant, but should have done more Morse era songs.
Perfectly said.Anytime anyone brings ups this obvious FACT, the Blackmore haters come screaming out of the woodwork frothing at the mouth about how great Morse is etc. & what a lousy human being Blackers is etc., how Ritchie can't play guitar anymore and all this other nonsense. DP lost their edge when Ritchie left, and as fine a guitar player as Morse is, he's never been the proper fit IMO.
@@Stitsel I don't consider Deep Purple to be Deep Purple without Ritchie. I saw "Purple" at the O2 in 2016 (or 17, can't remember exactly) and it was pretty awful. Sterile. Lacking nervous energy. I also saw Rainbow in Birmingham that year. Although Ritchie isn't the player he was way back when, that concert had energy - particularly the second half. Purple 2016 really were bad. I left before the end to beat the crowd.
I don't get why Gillan keeps doing "Hard Lovin Man", that's a song that should have gone from the setlist a long time ago (much like Child In Time, which actually is retired now)
It wasnt working onstage because they already had mandrake root... it was very similar to this track, of course its an amazing heavy metal track, jon lord nearly destroyed his organ, because was so intense to play...blackmores solo in the end was an kicking and slide the guitar round the controlroom, the heaviest song in 1970...what is interesting...lord from 1970 on used the descending organ biooooouuuuuuoooouuu.... i love to see how this worked...somebody knows?

Don Airey's keyboard solo here is amazing.
Ikr? I came back to this video only to hear that solo again
He kept the siren going man!!
I'm amazed that DP didn't play this song or "Flight of the Rat" live back in the early '70s.
Yes man. This song is some kind of "Heavy Metal blueprint": fast guitars and drumming, high pitched vocals.
But actually, i never see anyone talk about this god-like song.
This song was dedicated to Martin Birch ,the producer in the mid 70's. Now when he passed away 2days ago, this song have another meaning!
There is a live version of it from BBC sessions 1970
Yeah i know especially this classic never heard flight of the right live
@@gregboardman915 they never ve played this tune. I ve heard a statement that it wouldn't work on stage. I do not believe this; its an amazing tune.

Дай бог старикам здоровья

I would of loved to have heard Ritchie doing this with the orchestra, Gillan's voice is shot here proper
spettacolo!
Everyone in that whole audience 'wish Blackmore was playing this'.
2011は最高😢

@@What_Fred_Said yes, he/she is.

excelente 😍
3:35 🤣
Don Airey excelente buen sucesor de Lord
I bet JohnLord who wrote it for Organ would not have been happy with this "softening violins in the back"
JILAN IS STILL A VERY HIGH VOLTAGE LIVE WIRE AS BEFORE
Super!!!
Высший класс!
классика.!!
Гиллан жжёт круто!
Admit, that was funny 1:50 :D
This one is even better ,ruclips.net/video/a3LkEhGEnC8/видео.html
@@colinfraser8317 🤣😂the first time he screams G acts like he farted at the same time. Then those dancing moves, hip-hip 😁
I really prefer the Versions of 2024❤
sorry Morse x lo q dije soy tonta retonta sos muy buen sucesor de Ritchie
excentrico Ian
yeah man
Gillan better slow down before he drops he can't sceam. like he did in 72
Bravazo
Hard to believe Roger Glover and, in particular, Ian Paice agree to this nightmare.
As much as I admire Morse as a player, he lacks the raw power in his playing. This song demands Blackmore on guitar.

OUCH!
Ian Paice Kappo drum y Roger kappo bass
volve ritchie blacmore!!!!!!!!!
This is like Tom Jones trying to do metal.
Lol
Jaja, que increíble. Con esta versión orquestal me recuerda muchísimo a Uriah Heep.
Hard Gone Man...
Ian Gillan looks like John Palmer off Home and away !! If you don't believe me take a look !!
on keyboards Charles Bronson!
When a band backing by an orchestra they modified the music arrangement.

Mr. Gillan, have you NO SHAME?!?!...
si habre tenido ese disco las rocayosas DP
Steve Mors nu se prea potriveste cu trupa
Гилана больно слушать.
......Gillan go home
gillian needs to quit, he sucks so bad for years
He can’t sing it
