Awakening - Origin
Links - Quick Cast, Extract Energy (to build cold energy), Multishot (for more frost thorns), Element DMG Amp, Chain (farm) or Cold Penetration (damage), Spell Activation on Attack.
THORN EXPLOSION (Activated):
Awakening - Source for big dmg amp.
Links - Strike, Mana Storm, Area Effect (farm) or Concentrated Area DMG (damage), Convert Cold Dmg, Element Dmg Amp, Spell Activation on Attack.
ILLUSION HOOK
Awakening - Source for 15% increased damage to enemies from pain debuff.
BLIZZARD (Activated from Illusion Hook)
-Blizzard stacks a debuff on the enemy that increases cold damage.

Hi Philbo. Keep up with these kind of videos. How do you change the color of the skill visual after coverting it? For example: white thorn explosion after converting it to cold. It doesnt change by default for me...
go to beauty shop > last tab > strength skill > thorn explosion > purchase for 100k gold each
Great Guide!! On thorn explosion, the tool tip says you can not convert DMG? Does it still convert with the convert dmg to cold rune?
Probably because it has a convert link rune on it. Yeah it will convert to other elements for sure.
Currently using this build it takes a lot to make ready
def more of a damage than clearing build - was a lot of fun though

hey man do you have any spreadsheets of builds? any leveling guides? i wish this game had a resource like POE. good stuff tho. unfortunately im not playing the right way. im only act 4 but i use like a bunch of skills. i have frost ball linked with frost thorns and frost minnions and a frost sentry and then i even have the lightning chain linked with dark energy if i get bored of the frost ball... lol i realize thats not how im supposed to do it and im probably gonna be in some real trouble once the game gets harder.
oh and i have a Rune Knight running around with me. lol. i spend more time playing in the link catacombs than i do playing lol
i don't. not enough creators for the game at this point. a lot of ppl in the arpg communit distanced themselves from it since it has some p2w.

@@philbo9k how do i know when to choose status effect over dps? like when i can attach a rune where the dps goes up vs one that diesel but might be better overall because it freezes longer or something?
Can i ask, why doesn’t my frost thorn have chain? It only have projectiles, and stop at 1st contact
You need the chain link rune which can be acquired through magic rune synthesis at alchemy table. You might want to run something like Frost ball or fire ball until you can get chain.
What's the best build for farming in your opinion right now?

how about frost shock instead thorn explosion? also afaik cold damage can freeze enemy , so what link rune i should add?
Cold can freeze as long as you have status effect somewhere in the build. Sameish runes as in the guide.
