Although there is no evidence, I think the reason why cuberoot does not upload high-definition videos and yiheng does not put the side camera is that yiheng actually used gan251 in this round. If you look closely, you can see that yiheng used a cube with a blocked logo, and the blocked position is exactly the gan's (the logo positions of moyu and gan are different)
People finding ways to discredit the best. They should make a device like a shackle that presses the fingers to the mat, the timer starts when the restraint is removed and the fingers are freed.
Nothing new is even needed, the gen5 stackmat timer has thumb pads that could this problem. Until they're used though these crazy fast times are always going to be scrutinized, the timer is just not good enough for them.
@@mkilgore They need to have an option on the gen 6 to use 4 pad start and 2 pad stop. The only problem is consistency across the board. There are many countries/locations that are still using gen 4 timers and cannot afford to upgrade.
@@nicholascrow8133 I feel that somewhat defeats the point, 4 pad stop is necessary for the issue that (like this video mentions) you can still be turning the cube even when your palms hit the pads. The fact that it's expensive to replace timers I agree is an issue, but I suspect you could do a gradual rollout and a lot of the bigger competitions I think are already using them. Records will also be a problem, I would think 4 pad is slower overall.
timer start and stop nonsense was an innevitability in an event this short clearly yiheng is trying to stay within legal limits while going as fast as possible smart cubes are the only good solution but for now yiheng is trying his best to comply with regulations
These scramble were WAY to good. Being decent on 2x2 averaging low to mid 2 and know full eg.with these scrams I probably would get mid 1 ao5 which is my pb
@@volcaniccubing6940 I'm not against the wr it's just something I think but it could be just me because I just learned eg and don't what a bad scramble is
They should make cubes that keep track of the time themselves. They detect when they're lifted off the table starting a stopwatch and end exactly when the cube is solved. It doesn't seem like that difficult of a technical hurdle
these already exist, but the problem is money - they wouldnt be able to be implemented in a lot of countries due to cost as they are very expensive cubes and only a few of them exist. there was recently an unofficial tournament which used them, but it wouldnt be fair to make only elite cubers/rich countries use these cubes as they inherently give better times due to the lack of starting/stopping the timer

interesting idea. it was announced he used the weipo v5 but we can't know
ig fair although Luke Garrett uses gan when sponsored by moyu
the weipo v5 have logo on the green-orange side while the logo on the cube he is using in the video is on the blue--red side

Are your hands ok? They look disheveled
probably just winter and dry skin
I have eczema so maybe that's what he has too but maybe it just might be the cold weather over in America (I don't know cause I'm from Australia 😂).
@@cattebayo yeah ive gone through this before, it's pretty annoying
Yeah bit of eczema, maybe exaggerated by the camera. They're good though lol
he was holding the cube after solving on one of the solves
Apparently you can not give a time penalty for timer stops...
His timer stops are a bit interesting...
everyone say 2x2 is cooked then he gonna get sub-0 average
Sub-0 ez ngl

💀💀
idk but yiheng seems a bit bothered by something judging by his face
Is there a fix rule on puzzle distance from it's initial position to the timer itself?
Finally someone covered it
and i wont stop uploading without informing my veiwers
To answer the question in the thumbnail, of course his cube is clean

22 seconds ago is crazy
except that there is literally nothing crazy about it
I got 22 minutes ago lol
i reply to every comment and im very active
yiheng
Is that a 2x2 smartcube?
Its the new unreleased moyu 2x2
@KyleDoesCubing I think it could be a smart cube because of the dots on yellow (could be used as a charging port) I could be wrong though
@ Ohhh I thought he was talking about the cube Yiheng was using my bad
@KyleDoesCubing it is released
my friend ahs it
Why do the screws in your 2x2 light up
It’s a smart cube
bro theres like 6 2x2 smart cube users in the entire world
omg are you ok? pls get some hand lotion PLEASE

It’s a wr avg ofc the scrambles are gonna be lucky
I'm slightly doubtful, but when you look at his results, he has tons of averages at tons of comps, which helps convince me.

@Soph_252 Finally someone with common sense
Some of those timer starts are wayyy too fishy
And? 😒
Hm
