  • To all of our ‪@vagabondlife2018‬ subscribers, we would like to wish you a happy new year 🥳 and we hope that 2024 brings you all that you wish for, also if you are new to our Channel a big welcome to you and we hope you stay for some more of our adventures, because after all life is too short.
It is our final day in Chiang Mai and seeing we have to take the hire scooters back this afternoon at 6.30pm, we though we would take them for one last blast, also thinking the Samoeng Loop would be a good way to finish off our final day.
The Samoeng Loop is another famous road that motorbike enthusiasts take due to its curves and switch backs, and is also sometimes known as the Mae Sa Valley loop.
It is 100 kms of quiet mountain road, to the west of Chiang Mai, that take you around the Doi Suthep mountain, through the Mae Sa Valley and towards the town of Samoeng, beginning and ending in Chiang Mai.
It is considered by many to be one of the finest drives in Thailand.
There are a variety of things you can do along the way, from Elephant sanctuaries, coffee stops, amazing waterfalls and spectacular view points.
If you are ever in Chiang Mai we strongly recommend hiring a scooter or two and riding the Samoeng loop, its a fun day out and another way of exploring the beautiful Chiang Mai countryside.
