Strange. In the original song the shh in shorugi is absent but when others sing it they have the ssh sound. Example at around 4:25 in the following video: ruclips.net/video/V8Up016pK6s/видео.htmlfeature=shared
@@trprss in my opinion, Brahmin communities, especially those involved in religious practices and Carnatic music, often have a strong connection with Sanskrit, which has a lot of words with the "sh" sound (e.g., "shanti", "shloka"). This influence can affect the pronunciation of Tamil, especially in sacred or musical contexts. Which is in my opinion the reason for such rendition.
Sh is very much there in devotional Carnatic songs which are nurtured by Brahmins who are well versed in Sanskrit. Stop this obsession about weird aspects of tamil, she sang really well and pronounced beautifully.

Samajme nahi ata fir bhi sunta har video ke song
If the singer's diction had been corrected this would have been a great song. There is no "Shhh" in tamil, kind of corrupts the meaning of the words.

Shilai, shorugi. Some care into the diction would've been nice

I’ll also say that my grandpa who grew up towards thanjavur had a dialect that used shh instead of sss.
