  • On this episode of my Brussels Townhouse renovation, I start renovating the attic located on the 5th level of the house.
I still have the door wall to finish, but that's for another video.

This exact video inspired me to do this exact same thing to my house 🏡 when my wife and I was home during covid.
Sooooo sooo happy we did. We converted our attic to a playroom and storage area for our kids. To anyone who comes across this video and have about 7’ of head space in a home they own- this is the 1st upgrade you should make assuming you have no major repairs to make in other parts of your house.
It not only increases the value of your home; it also adds to the entire look and feel cause you will likely re-arrange the rest of your home with the new added space as a factor.
In addition, if built with new energy standards, you should see your home become more energy efficient possibly lowering your bills. Mine did.

Nice work. All kind of click flooring is designed to be mounted from left to right. It seems you did it from right to left. Got the job done but maybe with a little hassel? And if you need a paintscraper you should look into Allway scrapers. They are the best! My favourites are the FE1 and F22

Thank you. Floor with tongues and grooves are mounted from left to right, correct. But the plank boards from BerryAlloc don't have tongue nor groovs, meaning you can install them both way: ruclips.net/video/jN3LhpYPqkI/видео.html
Hassle? Ah, ah, I've never seen a floor that easy to cut and install! Not cheap though, but you really get what you pay for.

Prachtig gedaan!

If I were to pay someone to do the whole thing without most accessories how much do you think it would cost

Hard to tell, it depends on so many variables: where you live, the materials quality, the skill level of the person(s) you hire, etc.
I spent around 60/70 hour on this project from start to finish (without the pallet wood wall though -check out part II). Multiply by your local cost per hour to get the labor cost and add the cost of the materials you would pick such a project.

@@HODYODesign for the life of me I can't understand why people who produced good content feel the need to put music threw out there video. I watch your video for the content not the music if I wanted music I'd watch a music video.. Again good luck with your channel

I understand your position, and appreciate your "good content" :-)
Half of the viewers like audio backgrounds, the other half doesn't. Same for voice over, etc. I do enjoy watching videos with a musical background, which is why I put music in my videos. Just personal preferences

Wow this is a big change!! 😍 Love your work and the way you did this video again! Light switchs and electrical plugs are so different here in canada it's weird to see rounded electrical box for plugs! 😄 Im renovating all my third floor in my house and i know how much job it is, nice work and good choice of color for your floor, i just installed the same color in my 3 bedrooms! 😅

Thank you! Yes, electrical switches plugs are so different between Europe and North America! Each have their pros and cons. My main concern is with the design. So much choice here, not choice at all (or very little) on your side.

To be honest, this remodeling project is quite overwhelming and I've been very busy working in every room of the house without finishing a single one yet. Not much entertaining things to show so far in my opinion. I do have a few videos in mind though, I hope to post more content later on this year...
